I get this same crash over and over the moment I try to add alan wake to download queue. The gog downloader worked for another game and I've checked everything I can think of and googled and searched forums, nobody else has this problem.

I would send that exact error message along with a DZDiag report of your system to support. Meanwhile, have you tried downloading your game via your favorite browser?

Also, tell them which version of the downloader you are using since there appear to be two versions: stable and the test version as detailed in the very first sticky in this forum.

There seems to be a problem with downloading Alan Wake right now... I've tested it on two systems and it either gets stuck on "Preparing..." or crashes the downloader. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon

Right but how does one send a report to support? I tried navigating the support pages and I can upload an image but there is nothing to send the log. When it crashes it says send the log to support but doesn't say how exactly to do that. support@gog.com? Click support and open a ticket? On the game? Because there is no way to report a problem for the downloader as far as I can see.

Yes and it gives you the option to upload an image file only.......
