Is there a way to register old games that you still have the product key for on gog.com like the Witcher 2?

GOG is selling a service, it would be a loss for them, if they gift you their service, just because you bought the game somewhere else years ago.

Yeah as it was already said currently no, but if your passionate about it you could use the community wishlist and put a request for it in the feature requests section here: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site
and the geezers behind GOG may take it into consideration between Matlock episodes.
