games for a buck or even as low as sixty cent?
or my five favourite games i want to see here (technically they are not my fav. as I didn't play any of them):
Sanitarium
Neverhood
System Shock 2 (played for like 20 minutes and then deleted it as i had to prepare for exam and couldn't be distracted)
Discworld Noir
Nomand soul
I would choose cheap games. For sixty cents... wow.
No contest there as I already have almost all the games I want from GOG catalog at this time.
Ultima IX: Ascension - Dragon Edition
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
The Temple of Elemental Evil
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Anachronox
Now guess the game genre I like the most? ;)

michaelleung: System Shock 2. (First one sucked.)

I WILL punish you
Anyway, who the hell would want discount on 5-9 USD games anyway?

Fair enough, I miss the goodies that came with my versions of U7 and U8, was looking for them on eBay, and they are going for serious cash, so can't afford to replace.
I joined the Dragons once upon a time... not even sure that the whole thing is going these days, haven't looked for them in years, outside of those folks who still use their dragon names.
Easy choice for me -- I'd take my top 5, because I love giving money to GOG. :)
(And my top 5 would be System Shock 1+2, Final Fantasy VIII, Shadow Man, Silent Hill 2).

I got my Ultima 7 in for of Complete Ultima 7 so no cloth map and had to print the manual :P (had some questinaire like copy protection iirc).
Ultima Dragons - Internet Chapter still exists and accepts new members (latest from march 30th this year). I my self am Obsibian Dragon and have been a member since October 6th, 2003.
I have been acting as Ultima News Assistant on Dino's Ultima Page writing news about what's been happening in Ultima Fan community past few year.
Other Ultima news outlet, Ultima: Aiera is being slowly rebuild by Withstand the Fury Dragon after problematic host change last year. It's rather large undertaking as the site hosted almost every Ultima patch, mod, tool and remake there was at the time of the host change.

A few weeks ago I worked out the cost of every game I'd like that's currently on GOG, and frankly, if GOG lopped 90% off of that, well...
If the choice were between the discount and GOG getting 5 games from my own wishlist, i'd take GOG getting the games
If the choice were between the discount and GOG getting 5 games from the current, i'd take GOG getting the games.
The prices are really ok, even more so with the deals and the packs.
What i really want to see is a growing catalogue.
And a 90% discount ? C'mon, i'm sure the GOG guys/gals actually enjoy eating and sleeping indoors.

Good to see the Ultima fans are still going strong. I've always been tempted to try out Lazarus, and I see from your news that U6 remake is on its way.
I do miss the cloth maps, coins and the like that I used to have, if I could ever call myself a fanboy of anything, it would be Ultima.

The Ultima 6 Project milestone 6 just got released. Other active projects are Ultima IX: Redemption (remake of Ultima IX on morrowind engine), Exult and it's modding scene (Ultima 7 engine and modding tools) and Ultima: Iris 2 (Ultima online client). There are other projects that are being developed but their developers lack manpower or freetime to dedicate to them. You can find links to these and more on my page (links -> ultima). Unfortunately many Ultima related sites will be lost soon as Yahoo closes down Geocities.

Been Ultima fan since mid 80's :P starting with Ultima IV and I too miss the extras that used to come with games, especially Ultimas. Closest we can get to them these days are occasional collectors edition that are both expensive and hard to come by.
