In an interview with Edge magazine, published tomorrow, Dugas says the original Deus Ex was “kind of slow”. He added, “There weren’t enough exciting, memorable moments. It was aimed more towards a simulation rather than a game experience.
It will likely be like this image shows.
The first Deus Ex was slow... doesn't mean that's a bad thing. Deus Ex was a success because of the story, not the game play.
I love a good twitch game as much as the next person, but not every game with a first person view point has to be designed for a meth head suffering from ADHD and hopped up on speed. Well with that in mind I'm thinking I'll load up UT2004 with some speed modulators, tonight. ;)
