I'm assuming this is windows. If the problem is about blue screens, and errors and looks like corrupted data files, it may be fixable with the nice [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Restore ]System Restore Windows tool[/url]. That shit has saved me tons of times.

Already somegamer could have been back up and running after a format and reinstall just in the 1 hour that's passed since he started this thread.

Unless it's a hardware problem, trying to figure out what the problem is and then what to do about it is a pointless waste of time.

Man, backing up and reinstalling is a MAJOR pain (unless you didn't have anything but an OS installed to begin with) that takes hours, and hours.

OP: another thing to try is to create a new windows user and delete the old one, I use that as "reformating: lite version", yeah it's not a full reformat + reinstall, but it can do wonders to system stability and start up speed. (of course be sure back up copy any user files before deleting the old account)

1 Hour? Maybe that to just get the OS reinstalled. Then you have OS updates and service packs, driver(video/audio/directX/etc) updates, reinstall browser and extensions/plugins. This could easily take around 5-6 hours.

If you've got all the relevant installers backed up for drivers and programs, preferably on a separate hard drive, then most of the work can be done in an hour. You won't have everything back right away. But all the more important stuff will be back up and running. Which is a lot more than can be said for somegamer's present predicament.
I've done this many times. I've had all the essentials installed within an hour. Been online, retrieved my bookmarks and extensions. Windows updates are a pain in the arse. But hardly vital initially.

Right now I'm looking for the problem. I guessing it's software. I've booted into safe mode. Just got done with my busy schedule.

Doesn't anyone think it might just be broken memory? Viruses and trojans don't tend to BSOD.

EDIT: Perhaps run up CPU-Z, and check you memory stats.

Really, I don't understand why you're so sure. It's always hardware for me, only the drivers can achieve the results you're experiencing, and they have to work at it.

Well, It's was obvious that it was software, so of hard to explain but my stop code was 0x00000050 not 0x0000050. The first one is 8 zeros. Not your 7.
