"I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the games industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call Of Duty 7."
Will this damned war never end? I'm sure the COD games have now killed more german infantry than have ever existed
I love WW2 as much as the next army buff, but these COD games are now synonymous with cash cow.
... wait there's a COD 6? i thought the latest one was 5

Modern Warfare 2 has release date somewhat around Novermber. I guess it would be no. 6
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a new COD game every November lately?
It's no longer RPGs and Sports titles that get high numbers these days.
I always have to remind myself that the COD acronym is a War game, not a fishing simulator. (Not trying to make a joke here aswell)
I read treyarch's next contribution to the COD series would be departing from WW2, they didn't say what they were moving into but they said they have played out WW2 as much as they wanted for now. I can't remember the site I read that on though so can't find the link.
The last one I played was 4. That was Modern Warfare, right?
So I've played 1, 2, and 4. But World of War actually looks interesting. And it's true that some people are getting tired of the idea of WW2 games, but I guess enough people aren't that they can still support a franchise based off the things.
Hell, I've played a bunch of the Medal of Honor games, the Call of Duty games listed above, the Brothers in Arms games, and just last night I was watching something on the Military Channel about "the World's Best Combat Rifles" and watching those entries on the Lee-Enfield SMLE, the Mauser K-98 and the M1 Garand still made me want to fire up a WW2 themed shooter. So... if they made another one, I... might just get it even though I've played like a billion things before.
So... yeah, I can understand why people think it's silly that they just keep making them over and over and over again, but there are idiots like me, I guess, who just keep buying the darned things. Go figure.
What about Quake 5?

It's actually going to be a Vietnam game.
Activision and Infinity Ward switch off every other game, so all the even numered games are Infinity Ward and all the odd numbered games are Activision. Personally I don't like Activision and believe the make less superior games in comparison to Infinity Ward so I only buy every other game. Right now they are attempting to realease one COD game every year. So there is a development cycle of two years for each game because two different development teams are working on it.
New CoD?
*sigh*
