It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Since GOG has gone through it's changes, there is something that I'm sure most folks feel is minor, and, well, I agree, it is minor, but it is also frustrating enough that I want to ask if there is a way for me to change it and perhaps I just didn't know how.

Everytime I go to the Browse Games screen, it comes up by "Best Selling." I hate that. I ALWAYS browse games By Title.

So, I switch it to by Title, then click on a game to read about it, hit backspace, and yep, it's reverts back to by Best Selling.

Is there some way I can have it so when I'm browsing games alphabetically, click one to read more info about, and have it come back right where I left off the way it did before all of the changes on this site????

Any help appreciated.

Look at the top of your browser page. If you're using an up-to-date browser, the page you're on will be described under the toolbar with a small square beside it, resembling a folder.

If the browser is like that, then right click on your mouse over a link, and select "Open link in new tab". It's the same as opening up another browser window while keeping it to one interface. It keeps the old page open, and you can close out of the new page without disrupting the other. That way you'll still have organization by title while you look at the different games.

If you don't have anything like that, you'll need to upgrade your browser, or switch to another.

I'm sorry, but I don't see any such small square that you speak of, or the page being described under the toolbar.

And I am using IE 9. Pretty sure that's a recent browser.

Perhaps it's an option of some sort that i don't have checked??

NOTE: ADDED IN EDIT: I did however, just learn something new quite by accident. I right clicked on a title, and one of the options that came up was, Open in a new tab.

So, I guess that's the solution. Since your answer sparked me to look around, I'm gonna mark your answer as the solution even though I still don't know what you were talking about, and even though I still don't like the fact that it can't just be like it was before.

Why did they change it anyway??? I can't imagine I'm the only shopper that prefers looking in alphabetical order and who also prefers to return to his previous spot after reviewing details of a particular game and hitting backspace.

Seems like something they should change back to me.

I can only guess that the change is brought on to help spurn people towards the popular choices. Success in the most popular leaves a good impression on the rest of the titles, so it's basically just marketing.

As for folder, I didn't mean a folder icon or anything like that. If you've ever had a file cabinet or a big encyclopedia, you notice that they separate sections out. In the case of a file cabinet, it's a thick divider followed by a plastic square attached to the top, that you stamp with names or whatever onto it. That's what I meant in terms to your browser, were those square nubs. When you're in tabbed browsing, the section under your toolbar will resemble the top of a file cabinet with multiple separate labels. If you're still confused I can put up a picture.
