Now this might be a hard task as Gog doesn't list threads by creation date, but I was thinking of(for archiving/completion/laughs/etc) making a list of board firsts in terms of topics. First I will make a list of board request game threads for the first time a game was requested to come on Gog via it's own thread. Then other things as well depending on how it's received.

Good/bad?

(This OP post subject to change as stuff gets added and removed as facts and dates are checked.)

First time requests:

Alpha Centauri

Duke3d - first request thread

Blood

Baldur's Gate 1&2

Masters of Orion(series)

Panzer General(series)

Space Quest(Series)

System Shock 2

The Secret Island of Doctor Quandrary

Lol....this thread is whimsical and silly but it may be fun for some to read as time goes on. You never know. ;)

Plus it's fun for me as a newer user to be able to see all these board moments in a neat order ready for me to look through and see how Gog was in the olden days.

Well, if you're listing game request firsts, you definitely need to find the first System Shock 2 thread.

I'm starting at the last page(548 currently) and working forward. As some thread aren't named clearly I might miss a few so I guess this thread is for the first threads requesting games explicitly/clearly with their own thread and which have a title clearly showing such.

But yeah that's a good idea. Gotta find that and the thief first.

Just remember that the threads are sorted by last post date, not first, so some very old threads might not be anywhere near the "end of the line", so to speak. Still, you don't have much choice, as you can't sort them any other way.

Still, if you're looking for something specific, using the search function might give much faster results.
Don't threads get deleted after a couple of years? so you might've misssed some first request threads already

No, they're all here AFAIK.

Are we talking about the same search engine?

Well, they recently updated it, so yeah.

Most times the thread with the earliest last update date is the oldest. So far i've been using those.
