dukenuke88: yeah i know it sucks...but hoenstly, its not that bad once you start using a few different platforms

i was once a "steam only" guy...then i bought a game from amazon....its GTA 4 EFLC...it was like dirt cheap...like $7 back in 2010...i couldn't resist...then of course, i'm on gog as well...i also have a blizzard account for starcraft 2...and i plan to use Origin more, if Steam seriously will not carry any more EA titles...basically I have a piece of paper clipped onto my wall next to my computer, with all vital information....game platforms, my user names, passwords, which games are on there....just so i don't forget about them

my only complaint about amazon, their download server seems to be capped at 1,000 kbps...which sucks because my internet is rated at 4,000 kbps

rooshandark8: i am not a steam only guy lol
if a game is on steam i grab it there
Than comes gog
and blizzard is always retail
and if theres a good steamworks game sale on another dd i grab it there and activate it on steam
then if you ain't steam only, then it shouldn't be a problem converting over to Origin or Retail...what seems to be the problem?

Steam had da2
there gotta be someone out there with a gift copy
heck i can go retail if needed
No-one will have a gift copy. It's not a game you get extra copies of to give away, so basically you're hoping that someone's bought the game for £25 or however much it is, gifted it to someone already and hoped that the receiver hasn't already redeemed it. Ridiculously unlikely.
Everyone jumps on the fact that the dude wants the game on Steam. But nobody mentions the most important thing: "Dude, don't waste your money on that piece of trash that is called Dragon Age2!!!"

Well it's not that bad of a game...

But finding someone who happens to have an extra gift copy of this game, could be quite difficult..

There's also people who buy games on sale to resell them later when the sale is over, he might get lucky with one of those. Hmm, maybe the Cheap Ass Gamers Steam Group Buy Thread.

But yeah, either way it's a long shot probably. The game simply wasn't received that well so it's less likely to have people buy it. Not to mention the prices on Steam weren't exactly stellar for DA2.

When even the people on the Steam forums say 'Just get it on Origin, it's not so bad.' you know you're being picky and weird. :P

exactly my point...he says he isn't a steam only user...but the way he's acting, it certainly points like he is

stop trying to be so picky OP...if you say you aren't the Steam only user that you are, then go get it from retail or Origin
