Hi grammyapples! Apparently something (background application, connection problem, ???) is interrupting your download, what results in a corrupted, partial file. I'm pretty sure our support will contact you soon but in the meantime, I have some questions & ideas that might help us nail the issue faster:
- is there any pattern regarding the broken downloads (like for example your download always stops around 100MB) or is it completely random? Also, is there any error popping up when the download is interrupted? Please provide as many details as possible!
- have you encountered any errors when installing the Adobe AIR runtime? You've mentioned that it does not open on your computer. Could you please post some more info on what exactly happened? Any errors, messages, etc?
In general, Downloader app should solve that issue for you as it allows to resume a broken download. Just in case, could you please try downloading & installing it one more time - please grab Adobe AIR from this location http://get.adobe.com/air/ and if you will be able to install it this time, download & install our Downloader app from here http://www.gog.com/air/gogDownloader.air. As previously said, if you'll encountr any errors, please note them down and post in this topic with the info of what happened and when (feel free to post a screenshots as well)
- do you have an option of downloading the game from another PC? If yes, fell free to use your GOG.com account on another PC for the purpose of downloading the game. I know it's not a perfect solution but it might be a temporary fix to help you get the game asap.
