CarrionCrow: Well, Shadowrun Returns is a decent game, in my opinion. BUT. If you only choose one, I'd pick Dragonfall hands-down. It's superior in every way. (Just bought it a bit ago, in case that serves as additional insight.)
avatar
phaolo: Thanks, +1 again : )
But can you import your characters into the expansion?
Also, did you like the first game's story? How was the gameplay, good enough or so-so?
Shadowrun: Returns and Dragonfall are two entirely different campaigns so there is no importing characters between the two.

CarrionCrow: Oh, hey Judas. Incredible timing on your part. Since you're here, I have a question for you.
During the last sale, the pleasantness of your voice was mentioned, and based on that an idea began to take form.
How would you feel about going onto Twitch and dancing while wearing pasties and attempting to twirl them while singing Aqua's 90's pop classic "Barbie Girl"?
I personally think GOG could get over a hundred thousand stream views easily. Your thoughts? =)
Reports of the pleasantness of my voice are grossly overexaggerated :P

Also, show some proof when trying to butter me up ::)

Also, seriously speaking, I won't sing and/or dance, BUT I will be streaming Tales of Maj'Eyal this Saturday after Jesse Cox's stream :)

budejovice: Ooh, cool. Hoping the new installer will solve my t-engine crashing issues, but haven't attempted yet. Looking forward to seeing your playthrough. :)
Well, we did put up a new installer for the DLC as there was an update to that portion of the game. If you have the DLC, try re-downloading the installer if you haven't already done so :)

moonshineshadow: Urgh... I think I need to start playing one of my games to distract me from the sale since I do not want to get grumpy again about it...
So the question is... adventure or strategy game :D
ADVENTURE! :D

(strategies are not my thing save for Master of Magic/Orion :D )

CarrionCrow: All right, a serious question (since my dreams of seeing your undoubtedly breathtaking combination of song and dance now lie dashed against the cold, unforgiving rocks of reality), is it possible to gift a staff member of GOG something, or is it entirely pointless given your preexisting access to the catalog?
We all have the entire catalog at our disposal so gifting any of the staff would be rather like gilding the lilly :)

Thank you for the good intention, however :)

IAmSinistar: Oo, Quest For Infamy coming up as a Flash, and it already has a base reduction of 50%. Should have a meaty discount, time to get it off the wishlist.
It's a really good game and worth every penny :)

JudasIscariot: It's a really good game and worth every penny :)

IAmSinistar: Even better then. Consider it bought, whatever the discount. Unless you do something twisted like change it to 25% off during the Flash. :P
I doubt we'd do that :)
avatar
JaqFrost: And we very much appreciate that you do. =) Thank you.

Gede: Yes, we sure do!

BTW, since the Fall Sale was just a couple of weeks ago, I was wodering of often does GOG does a similar sale. It is not even Winter yet, so I'm a bit confused.

Can someone elaborate on that, please?
It feels wintery enough around here (Poland) so close enough for government work :P

CarrionCrow: A question for you, Judas (good afternoon as well, of course) - Of all the games on GOG, what would you say is one that is criminally underrated and needs to be purchased/played by more people?
Ether One.

Most people would probably dismiss it as walking sim but it's actually a decent puzzle/exploration game that doesn't try to talk down to people with some sort of 2deep4u storyline. On top of that, the puzzles actually make sense once you take the time to examine how they are designed.

Bionic Dues is another underrated game in my opinion. While there may be a faux anime art style in some places the game brings an interesting mechanic to the roguelike genre without diluting the term "roguelike" in a way that a lot of action-oriented games do by misusing the aforementioned term. It's not a perfect game but I think it's one of those hidden gems in Arcen's stable that really should get more attention as it has that unique Arcen Games touch all throughout :)

Gede: Yes, it is chilly today in Portugal, too.

What other sales does GOG usually do, other than the seasons? Chrismtas? New Year? Easter? Talk Like a Pirate Day (ooh, that would be so cool ;-)?
We do all kinds of sales :)

You're always welcome to suggest some themes or the like :)

CarrionCrow: Generally? Whatever they feel like. -laughs- When we're lucky, we can get an Insomnia sale (extreme low prices, but you have to grab items quickly since there's a limit on each one's availability). The Mutator Sale (purchasing 3 games at deep discount, then being given the option to essentially gamble 2 dollars a pop to receive a random game that might be worth 6 dollars or 30) was also good.

CarrionCrow: Interesting. Already have Bionic Dues thanks to my latent Mechwarrior craving, but I've been on the fence about Ether One. Will pick it up when it comes along again. Thank you. =)
You won't regret it :) Also, it's really worth to get all 20 projectors working in the game as you get a much better ending if you do :)

CarrionCrow: I'll be sure to keep that in mind. If I'm lucky, it'll show up at some point during the sale.
Also, OlliOlli is a pretty decent skateboard game, if I don't say so myself :) I have a weakness for games with skateboarding in them (like the Tony Hawk games where you can skate through an open city) and while OlliOlli is a runner-style game it's very fun to try and pull off all kinds of tricks :)

I do recommend that you tackle OlliOlli with an Xbox 360/XInput controller as you'll need to make sure you can perform as many tricks as possible :)

Nah, I need to see what the sun looks like...I haven't seen it in days and yes, I venture outside every now and then from top secret bunker :D
