You've got mail!

Browsing catalogs, tracking sales, ain't nobody got time for that.
Well, you finally don't need to - we'll email you when a game on your wishlist goes on sale.

Starting this weekend, when a GOG.com game (or games) on your wishlist gets a discount, you'll receive an automatic email notification with a quick way to jump straight to the product page. Nice and convenient.
If you don't want to receive these notifications, you can always unsubscribe directly through the first email you receive, or by heading to Account > Orders & Settings > and changing your Subscriptions settings.

We're still in the early days of rolling out the feature, so we'll continue iterating and nailing down the details and functionality - but with nearly 13,000 votes for the option on our Community Wishlist, we sure hope it comes in handy!

huan: Thanks for giving us the option to unsubscribe. Next step - please make sure that the option works. I don't have it ticked, didn't have it ticked when I first looked at the settings today, it says UNSUBSCRIBED next to it, and I got the email anyway. And from quick glance at the thread, I was lucky that I only got one
Huan sorry for that, unsubscribe option works but with some delay. Next time you won't get any email from it

bouncedk: Finally. Now you need to fix your "money back guarantee" which isn't a guarantee at all.
You are seriously lacking in that department compared to Origin and Steam.

Here's how it goes on GOG:
- Buy game
- Download game
- Play game
- Request refund
- Get standard bot answer
- Answer standard bot answer
- Get another standard bot answer yet again
- Answer standard bot answer yet again
- Get another friggin' bot answer (is anyone even reading this?!)
- Give up, GOG wins
Are you referencing ticket Z1R09Q3A? I see that we sent you a reply (granted, it was basic troubleshooting, but definitely not a "bot response") and you never got back to us. Were you only getting the auto-responder / ticket confirmation email all the time? I'm unaware of such an issue taking place at the time (or at all) so hopefully this was some strange edge case...
Please feel free to reply to your ticket once again, or contact me via email directly (I will PM you my address). We will do our best, but if we can't help you, you will get your money back. Since there was apparently some communication error here back in the day, we will skip the bit about your order being way older than 30 days, of course. :)

moonshineshadow: Yeah. I also got an email and I had turned the feature off. So while this might be a great feature for many people please make sure that off really means off -.-
Yeah, you're right - sorry for that. There was a bug, won't happen again.

cyboff: Hey GOG, can you please stop sending "wishlist e-mails" of the games I wishlisted few hours ago, like e.g. recent releases (The Aquatic Adventures)?

Blackdrazon: This for me as well. I often wishlist a game at launch, which just so happens to be discounted at launch! I can't or don't want to buy it right now, GOG, or I wouldn't have wishlisted it! Barassing me with emails about it is just irritating!
This can be irritating. I've passed this info further, unfortunately I don't know how hard to fix it will be.
