I have downloaded quite a few Windows 10 games from Gog.com and they run great! As for the games that are listed as running on WIndows 8, will they run on Windows 8.1?

That is like the service packs of old so the answer is yes, in most cases but the other way around, if the game specifies 8.1, it is uncertain whether it will run on 8.0.
