We should do another forum game, guess barry woodward's next thread. :P

Fairfox: Gosh, I hope not; I know none of those people :/.

OneFiercePuppy: Blindspot isn't a terrible show, but no harm in not seeing that, but... you haven't seen Pulp Fiction?

I'm notifying the House Un-American Activities Committee. You damned commie.
Or he has seen it, but doesn't remember a minor character in a film with a very large cast? I had to IMDB the guy...

I'm guessing that he'll be outraged about the lack of DRM free waffles on GOG. And how dare they not take waffles.

PaterAlf: The last game Blow released didn't cost €36.99. I doubt that a puzzle game will be a big hit at that price. Puzzle games are not that popular.
Not sure what you would call a big hit but The Talos Principle hasn't done bad at that price.

I admit that this is very impressive.

amok: it's not like Blow needs gOg... and as it will be DRM free elsewhere, the only ones loosing out will be the "no gOg, no buy" crowd. so - meh. fanatics unite.

budejovice: Not exactly, though. Seems from the comments here lots of people will be "missing out". I don't think anyone in this thread is "no gOg, no buy." Some of us don't buy on Steam, but I personally have about 500 DRM-free games from other sites. I'm "missing out" cause I just don't like the guy.
So a win-win sitation all around, then. I am pleased when things just sort themselves out.

Whew. Agreed! :)

jefequeso: I don't see anything wrong with what Blow said.

He didn't like the contract terms, so he didn't accept them. Like it or not, he WAS a big name in the industry...
Fixed that for you. ;)

IMO Braid is a decent platformer but way overhyped and not as great as some people say. I've played better indie platformers like Shovel Knight just to give one example.

After watching Indie Game: The Movie and reading Blow's whining about GOG's contract i think he's just full of himself. He greatly overestimates his position and "importance" among indie game developers.

I watched a few videos of The Witness and i have to say i'm absolutely not interested in the game - and certainly not at a whopping price of 36,99€.

So i personally don't care if his game is sold on GOG, Steam or any other store. :D

And i'm quite sure that The Witness will be bundled within a few months after release anyway.

Given how many times Braid was bundled, I won't be surprised if Witness shows up in the Humble Monthly Bundle within 2-3 months.

That was a superb game, both because of the themes & atmosphere and the interesting puzzles, likely going to do a second replay soon. Interesting factoid: one of the writers (one?), Tom Jubert, was also involved in The Swapper which was probably my favourite game in 2013. I really hope to see more of his awesome writing on some more mind-blowing games. :)

As for The Witness, this is the most interesting game at the moment for me. All the others like SpellForce 3, The Guild 3, Shadwen and the new Torment all lack specific release dates.
I looked at the game preview but there is no Waarrrggghhhh! or shooty things :(

Fictionvision: This made me do a double take. So I went to check and sure enough, $39.99 on steam.

Braid was a good game, but I think the success went to Mr. Blow's head a bit.

jefequeso: He's one of the most famous solo indie developer out there,
So was fish and fez for presumably the same reasons.

That's a bingo.
