What are some good hack and slash games on GOG.com? I was watching someone use melee weapons in Warframe, and I thought "You know, this is good, but I want a standard, offline game that scratches this same itch", so what do you all recommend?
Rune
The short answer is pretty much none. Some of the best in the genre are japanese, and we don't get many of those around here. If we really dig deep, maybe:

Way of the Samurai 4 - It's a samurai game. Granted I've only played the second one on PS2, so I can't speak for this particular game, or the state of the port, but if it's still the same the combat is pretty in depth, even if not over the top like most others in the genre.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within - Has the best combat in the series, with several combos, aerial and environmental attacks. Being a PoP game though, it is a platformer first and foremost, so you'd have to be okay with doing that inbetween the fights.

I'm sure you don't need any recommendations for Steam games, but if you were looking at Warframe I'll assume you're not the type to refuse using Steam. In that case, Metal Gear Rising, Transformers: Devastation and Devil May Cry 3 are all amazing and at 75% off at the moment. Unfortunately, GOG doesn't have any hack n' slash games of that caliber.

AL-QADIM: THE GENIE'S CURSE
Yes well, it's a very old top-down "action RPG" (before that was a thing). But you have lots of fun hacking at stuff in it.

Shadow warrior 2013, get some wang!
Soulbringer has a very interesting system where you choose the attacks and chain them in a sidebar, if you're interested in tactical swordplay.

Mount and Blade series has real action melee and archery combat.

Dark Souls series is great, but it's not on GOG. And Blade Symphony sounds like something you'd love.

Edit: Also Witcher (all three games), and Elder Scrolls games with mods, since in vanilla version you mostly just block with your weaopn/shield and in later games have some additional perks like counterattacks, but mods like Deadly Combat or how was it called add better gameplay and more moves.

Oh, and Elvira. Not on GOG again, but it's an oldie.

Not sure what your definition of Hack&Slash is, but maybe you'd enjoy Victor Vran.

Darksiders

pretty much qualifies for me
Depends what you class as Hack and Slash really...

I was under the impression Diablo-esque games fell under this banner, in which case you have:

Torchlight 1 & 2
Van Helsing Final Cut
Victor Vran
And I'm sure there are a few older games that have been mentioned as being part of that genre.

If you mean something like Dynasty Warriors say then I'm not sure what there is here... Darksiders 1 & 2 is probably not far off...
Best hack and slash in our site, had been the "Blade of Darkness". Alas, currently, it is no longer sold here.

Best hack and slash i can recommend you, is Grim Dawn, currently the best Diablo 2 clone either in our site, or ever released, anyway.

Then, some Victor Vran would do it, it is a (relatively) new experience, quite different and refreshing.

Some people actually insist Torchlight 1 and 2 are the best diablo clones. Personally, i didn't find them so much fun as the two aforementioned titles, it can be a matter of taste. And torchlight 2 has been sold up in steam sales for less than 4 bucks, this is the 6th time right now, while here it is 20 euros and it didn't get discount not even during our own summer sales, damn...

Shadow Warrior 2013 is an excellent shooter, but you can beat it only with hack and slash performance. Has a collection of melee weapon skins (main is katana and gog version has the badass original katana from the original game), has RPG elements, special skills and moves for swordplay and obviously, secret techniques, guns, oni, wang and numerous hilarious moments that can make you die laughing.

Darksiders. 1 is more of an action game than RPG. 2 is more of an RPG game than action and even has loot and looting system. Both are fun and unique in their own way, but half-assed, full of bugs, errors, glitches, crashes, issues and bad optimization. For example, even though Darksiders 1 is a very old title, it overheats my pc and makes it shut down by itself, making playing it almost impossible, even if my pc handles games like the Witcher 3.

Aaand... The WITCHER series! You can't go wrong with either one of their unique, exquisite, distinctive titles! 1 is for old timers, RPG nerds and people with nostalgia googles who never value graphics over gameplay+content, 2 is for the ever battle-ready angrykids and 3 for pretty much anyone, for all tastes, but appeals the most to open world and elder scrolls fans.

Rune would be my first pick. Followed by the Darksiders games.
Die by the Sword was very unique, but also quite tricky.
It's a shame GOG doesn't sell Severance/Blade of Darkness anymore, it was great.
