Awesome daily deals and bundles up to -90%. Free games to unlock. Fuzzy squirrel on the front page.

Ah yes. Fall. A time of gold and scarlet, overcoats, and increasingly cozy afternoons. A fine time to start stocking up for the winter. A fine time for a gaming sale indeed… So welcome to the Big Fall Sale - 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock.

The Big Fall Sale goes to eleven. It's one better, isn't it?
Today, the last day of the Big Fall Finale, is also a day of all the remaining daily deals - there's just so many of them. It's the time to grab everything you might be kinda into, and just maybe it'll also score you a free game or two, or three.

As we wind down the deals and pack our bundles, there's just one more thing to say: thanks for joining us in the Big Fall Sale!

While you're here, grab a few extra games for free by doing your thing and shopping around. The more you spend, the more you'll get back, so when your total spendings exceed $5, $15, and $30, you'll unlock a new game for FREE. They're pretty good ones too:
--System Shock 2 - free for everyone who spends at least $5.
--The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - free for everyone who spends at least $15.
--Banished - free for everyone who spends at least $30.

Pet the squirrel, grab your nuts, stock up for winter, and stay cozy out there - the Big Fall Sale is here with 11 days of discounted gaming joy, new deals every day, free games to collect, and plenty of reasons to keep coming back! The sale will last until November 15, 1:59 PM GMT.

real.geizterfahr: Deadalic Build Your Bundle seems to be broken. I get the 85% disount with only 1 selected game. Maybe that's because I own 6 games from this promo? In other promos our owned games count towards the full discount (to complete your collection), but I doubt that's how this promo is intended to work ;)
That is precisely how the promo intended to work. :) Games you own count towards the discount too! Pretty neat, isn't it?

Det_Bullock: But if one owns one of the free games already?
Do I get a "giftable" copy of the game or what?
Either way, you'll get a redeemable code for the game to do whatever with, like sending it to a friend. Just watch out for the expiration date on the codes, it's a month from today.

phaolo: Let's see, Interplay pack is only 60%.. but becomes 90% if I buy all?
But I only need 3 games lol!
If you pick up whatever you're missing from the bundle you still get the full discount - so you'll still get 90% off the 3 games, you don't have to buy everything again. :)

JKeift: I'm a complete noob here at GOG and this is my first big sale. I have two questions for anyone kind enough to answer:

1) Should I wait until the last day of the sale in case a discounted game gets an even bigger discount (similar to Steam) or am I safe purchasing now?
2) Do the free-game milestones usually change or are they fixed for the remainder of the sale? That would also condition whether I buy now or later, since I already have some of the current milestones.

Thanks!
Welcome to the Big Fall Sale. :p

1) You're safe and sound. No tricky surprise discounts here.
2) The unlockables will stay the same for the entire sale, so there's no rush. Browse around.

NotJabba: Cool stuff. Just a minor bug report: The announcement page says the daily deals change every 12 hours and the bundles change every 24, but both sets of deals have a 24-hour countdown on the home page.
It's a feature, not a bug, my friend - new daily deals will pop up every 12 hours and hang out for 24 :)

toxicTom: That would be a superb idea!

IAmSinistar: Ta mate, and I see you have already discovered it. :)

For folks looking to unload your unneeded promo codes, head on over to the Big Fall Sale Clearinghouse Thread. Also stop by if you're one of the people looking for one of these promo games!
Thanks for being awesome, guys :)

Our awesome promo launch seems to be a little confusing, so just to clarify - here's how this thing is going down:

Today is special. There are a whole lot of deals going on at once, more than usual - this will go on for 24 hours. Staff Picks are a selection of the deals from the promo, but you can find more deals under other tabs and by browsing the catalog for all discounted games.

Afterwards, we're switching to a more standard promo schedule with fewer discounts that include a bunch of new deals, and some returning from today. That includes Daily Deals (new every 12 hours, live for 24 hours) and Daily Bundles (new every 24 hours, live for 48 hours).

I hope that clears up most of the uncertainty, this is a pretty unusual start for the promo indeed. :)

tronsuser: Are Ubisoft leaving GOG?
Nope. "Last chance" means it's last chance for a discount on this sale. :)
I understand that "last chance" text could be confusing for you guys (and girls) - we take your suggestions seriously. Konrad included this information in the newspost in this topic. We'll consider taking further steps to make this more clear.

If any of you have any valuable suggestions that could benefit you - users, please write about them.

Still - I'm happy that "last chance" info was introduced in the big fall sale.

CarrionCrow: There's only one game that currently has the clock icon on the upper left of its picture that indicates that it's a last chance item. That game is Rayman Origins. The only other game that's had that so far is Assassin's Creed.
avatar
eiii: Oh, an icon. I'm on travel at the moment and on rather bad internet connections. I do not even see the game pictures in the "DAILY DEALS" section (although the pictures in other page sections do work). All I get in the game boxes is a text "class=", the game name and the price. So there's probably no chance for me to get the last chance info.

@GOG: Please make this a text info or put these games into a separate tab so that the info is also available on bad internet connections.
It seems to me like a browser problem. Please provide me your browser name and version (you can do it on chat).

Azhdar: But why OP says 80%?! A mistake?
avatar
GOG.com: Your ticket to Persia is 80% off today, and you'll be treated like royalty (historically, members of all royal families have had a relatively high chance of untimely death) in the Pack of Persia with the four classic Prince of Persia titles at -80%, including the time-bending and game-changing The Sands of Time. It's seriously good. Try it.
avatar
Azhdar:
avatar
Azhdar: I bought Pack of Persia. But it's 75% discounted not 80%.
Typo indeed. The discount is 75%. Should be fixed now, thanks for pointing that out. :)
avatar
InkPanther: Wait... Wasn't Nox discounted 75% in previous appearances in this sale?
avatar
InkPanther: Bummer

Well, I was on the fence about buying it... Not any more. ;)
avatar
Marioface5: I would hope it's just an error and that GOG will fix it. Changing the discount a game gets like that would be pretty shady.
Thanks for letting us know. We fixed the bug pretty soon after, and we'll be making up the difference in store credit (in the currency they used to buy the game) automatically. What with the promo going on, this will most likely happen sometime next week.
Naturally we can also simply refund the difference, and our support team will be able to help with that.

tamablenebula: You have until the 15th of December to redeem them.
avatar
Lockenar: Great ! Can you please tell me where do I find the redeem thing and codes ?
From the FAQ:

https://www.gog.com/support/support_view/big_fall_sale_faq_en

3) How, and when, will I receive my free game?
Once you start unlocking games, you can find the redeemable game keys by clicking on the "Unlocked" message on the progress banner. We'll also automatically email you a gift code redeemable at gog.com/redeem soon after you unlock the reward. You can claim it for yourself or pass it on to a friend. It might take a few hours for the message to be delivered, so please be patient. The codes will expire on December 15, 11:59 PM GMT.

IwubCheeze: Sooooooo..........ummmmm................where do you guys think the squirrel went? I really wanted to give him a home on my game shelf but GOG won't give me a redeem squirrel code.

I'm gonna miss that squirrel........:(
We'll always have the memories!
