Up to 80% off point'n'click tales worth telling: The Wolf Among Us, Moebius, Tex Murphy series, The Last Door, and more!

In every group worth its salt, there's always a storyteller. They might deal in funny stories, suspenseful stories, spooky stories, or even emotional stories but they make them all equally captivating. It's a gift. Tales of Adventure is full of games that share this gift. Adventure games have always been about rich worlds, unforgettable characters, and distinct storylines, interwoven with brain-teasing puzzles. And you would be hard-pressed to find better storytelling experiences than the adventures offered here, let alone the up to 80% discounts put on them.

Even if you don't particularly enjoy shooting wasteland wackos in the face, you really need to hear these Tales from the Borderlands. It's a rollercoaster ride of crazy antics, volatile character dynamics, and "no way!" moments that will make you miss Pandora the second it's over.

GK: Sins of the Fathers - 20th Anniversary Edition is the perfect reminder of why a timeless tale of voodoo, murder, and supernatural hunting never stops being fascinating, especially after it's received a bit of sprucing up.

So, are you in the mood for some Tales of Adventure? You should be, because these are 20+ of the most engrossing point'n'clicks out there, going for up to 80% off: The Wolf Among Us, Little Big Adventure 1+2, Moebius, Tex Murphy: Tesla Effect, and many more. The promo will last until May 10, 3:59 AM UTC.
I was about to buy the TWD games for my computer-challenged friend (ie, Mac user) -- but then I noticed, for some reason, 400 Days [the best part of the TWD games] isn't available for Mac, only the two full seasons. *sigh*

markrichardb: I’d recommend taking a second glance at The Last Door. It’s an excellent point & click horror for such a price. Some people take one look at the page and bounce off those ugly screenshots, but the graphics lend a disturbing kind of ambiguity to what you’re seeing and has your own mind fills in the details. The music is brilliant, and I'm always on edge waiting for a change in the composition.
Seconded. To anyone who missed it in the Bundleopolis sale, The Last Door is completely worth the price. The very good soundtrack is included as a bonus. The first season does come to an ending, in case you're worried about a bait-and-switch cliffhanger, with The Last Door 2 picking up and carrying the story on to a complete finish from a different character's perspective.

At first glance I seem to have what I'd want for now from this promo, but I'll give it another look when I'm at my computer. The mobile is always good for an initial scan. :)
i'll grab 4 games! Good promo!
Hmm. To be honest, I've never been a huge fan of P&C adventures - very few strike that balance of offering a decent challenge against offering reasonably logical puzzles - and I'm fairly burned out on the genre right now. It's probably one of the most oversaturated genres on PC right now.

Pretty much every P&C title I've ever played has either let me power through it with ease or forced me to cheat and use a guide, with my reaction to the answer usually being in the WTF range. I've rarely found myself kicking myself for not seeing the solution to a problem. The inflexibility of the genre has never agreed with me.

It also hasn't helped that I picked up most of the Telltale stuff in the recent Humble Bundle. Steam-only, but for the price I paid I can handle that, and the very limited longevity of these games doesn't really warrant buying them twice.

Tempted to pick up Moebius: Empire Rising and Supreme League of Patriots for a rainy day, but I have a feeling that those will have been bundled by Humble or Groupees by the time the rainy day comes around.

Anyway, rule of thumb with Telltale adventures if you haven't played one to date: crap gameplay, crap puzzles, superb stories.
Good promo. Saved a lot money...
Nice little glitch on the promo page. When I select all games which I do not own I get the message "select more to save more". But I do not get the message when I only select a single or a few games. :)

Apart from that there apparently isn't "more to save" anyway.

Edit: When I select all games, including those I already own, the message disappears again, but the prices still stay the same. ;)

Some nice adventures there.
Odd, I thought ya guys had Yesterday, oh well, still a good sale.
Oh, in case any Linux users are curious about Moebius: A Linux build is apparently on the way.

Quote: The Linux version of Moebius is due to be released within the next two weeks by Phoenix Online

Some great games in this. I already own the Telltale series (bought through Telltale when they originally came out). I never had issues with the S&M games, which I'm one of the lucky few.

Well, I find that if you set some ground rules before starting, and everyone involved knows and respects the safe word, you shouldn't have any problems.
But what has this got to do with Telltale Games?

Vythonaut: A little birdie told me you should buy the Tex Murphy games for an (un)healthy dose of adventure.. ;-)
You demonstrate an increasingly worrisome endorsement of adventure games.... One might think you've been converted...

I'm always full of surprises, huh? :D

I don't think I've been converted yet, but I really started to like this genre. Who would believe I'd sit at the edge of my seat while playing a point & click game (Technobabylon) some years ago. I guess it must have something to do with *coughs* age. :P

asb: Before purchasing any Telltale titles, you might consider how they have left a major bug in Sam and Max unfixed for over 3 years now with no sign that they intend to fix it https://www.gog.com/forum/sam_and_max_series/sybil_doesnt_appear_spoiler/page3
Is this GOG only?
