It would be completely unnecessary to lie claiming that an error cause the discounts, instead of jokingly saying "nobody saw anything", or something similar to hint that something is incoming. When the discounts went live I also said that it must be a 1-2 weeks too early miss-fired sale, but now we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
