MadalinStroe: What do you mean. Did I miss something and EITR has been abandoned?

paladin181: Feels like it sometimes.
So there's no official announcement, just that there's still no release date in sight. Personally I'm nowhere near old enough to worry I won't get to play it before I die, and I have such a huge backlog of good/great/amazing games, that I can't complain about lacking games to play. Lacking time to play them, that's a different matter.

RadonGOG: What the hell are you talking about?

adaliabooks: Compared to the first game it's awful. The story is really poor, the decisions never felt like they had any weight, the combat was still fun but because your characters all started quite levelled up it wasn't quite as interesting as the first one.
I'm hoping the third one rescues the series some what but I'm not holding out a lot of hope (I'll still play it mind)
you crazy!!! :)

I almost made exactly your first comment (about it maybe not being a terrible thing if Banner Saga had been the start and end of the series, at least for the time being) for EXACTLY the reasons listed above. Banner Saga was the game that finally enticed me into making a GoG account and I absolutely loved it.

BS2 was probably my biggest gaming letdown of last (or was it two?) year. Between the dive in quality and the fact that they sort of only released here reluctantly (there was some talk Stoic wasn't even going to bother bringing 2 to GoG) BS 3 has gone from the insta-purchase of the previous two, to a total "maybe" or even a hard pass if they really tick me off.

Which is a shame because I absolutely LOVED what they started to do and them as a company initially.

adaliabooks: It's a shame this one hasn't sold that well, but like many others (and many other games) I'm in the waiting till it gets cheap boat... You have to wonder how much more successful some of these small indie games might be if they started off at cheaper prices...
sadly i fear that wouldnt have changed much... because what people generally are looking for arent good prices...but what they perceive as good deals... namely heavy discounts
from what ive seen from the game(not much so far... only seen the release stream and only just bought it) it has a pretty reasonable asking price...possibly even a low one given the genre and amount of work that very likely had to go in it
but no matter how you price it initially... people will wait for the discount because thats how our brains work... and thats why there are perpetual discounts everywhere... malls, online shops, gamestores... you name it its gonna have regular discounts... and with the large scale chains for clothes for example...the discounted price IS the actual asking price
Thanks for the heads up.
