badon: I recommend:
*
FTL: Advanced Edition on GOG.com *
Crysis® on GOG.com *
Homeworld® Remastered Collection on GOG.com The graphics on all of those have or will age incredibly well. So well, I think I can call them timeless. There are not many games that will be just as fun to play 100 years from now as they were when they were first released.
hmm crysis ive played before its a fun game and yeah the graphic do look good even today, FTL maybe
timppu: I almost consider it as a non-game as there isn't really any skill involved, even if it pretends so. It pretends the game is about timing and such, but in the end your BALLS go quite randomnly all over the play area, and it is 99% a matter of luck and repetition, retrying enough many times that you finally are lucky enough and reach the next level.
It is as much a game as e.g. slot machine (one-armed bandit). If you consider them as valid games, then I guess Peggle is a game as well. A game of luck, sort of.
tinyE: I play A LOT of Peggle but I need to agree with timppu on this one. It's barely, if at all, a game.
I also watch a lot of pro wrestling, but I'm not about to call that a sport. :P
lol well i took a look at peggle, not really "challenging" even for an arcade game i mean the colors and all look good and tempting but i prefer games which have a little challenge to them and one that will have replayability. If that game is based on luck then whats the point in playing it
Fairfox: i mean i dont agree
thar is some luck involved
buuut your aim does change position an' wut gets hit even if curvature-happenin's get mixed up
its casual. a casual gamie. low-level relaxatin-station (
sometiemz!). i think its slippy slope to try 'n' define gamin' so narrow lee. then again mebbe you wouldnt say walkin' gamies are gamies an' i would
imma fine with mah description :D
well your style of writing is a unique one indeed. quite fond of you now =)
Irenaeus.: If you mean classic as in, the late 90s and early 00s, then:
- Deus Ex
- Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
- Thief Gold
- System Shock 2
- Quake
- Grim Fandango
classics that i mean go from the 90s to 2009 anything else is either recent or well ya know not good and its quite difficult to find good games.. oh yeah and i do have grim fandago as well as quake and ive played Thief 3...got stuck on it and just quit but ill give the first one a go
