You're not the first one with possible alts like DampSquib suggested, who's here just for freebies and won't be the last to exploit the generosity of the many good folks on GOG. Its the reason why I didn't give you a game previously on this thread, others can ofcourse make up their own minds whether to giveaway their games or not.

What people perceive to be wrong about that is if you are only here for the freebies. (Which seems to be the case for you as you have no other forum presence outside of the gifting threads.)

People give away games here because of the general atmosphere of the forums. We like it here, and we want to keep fostering the same feelings of happiness by giving games away.

To wit, "work" for the "free" games simply by being an active member of the entirety of the forums. Enter into inane discussions about cheese, make a name for yourself by derailing threads with witty posts. Become a crusader of non-DRM, or Steam not being the Evil Empire. Whatever. Put something of yourself into the forum.

If you're hanging around with your friends, and you go out with them to a bar or a restaurant, you're expected to pay for yourself, aren't you? Not just leech on your "friends" like a parasite?
Because your "friends" will start to see that, and then they won't be your friends anymore. And if you act that way to them, then they were never your friends in the first place, just convenient marks.

Acting this way on GOG forums makes you look like a parasite. You're not even a beggar as mostly beggars don't want to be beggars. Games do cost money. You're living off the wages of other working people. Parasite.

If that's okay with you, well, that's that, but be aware, your reputation on GOG forums will be that of a leech, and you won't be invited to any of the good parties.

If we have to explain that, you should probably be banned from the forums.

"many others" contribute to the forums too with discussion.
