UhuruNUru: Seen this twice now once for a game I already owned, and one that I didn't, that fooled me.

First was Dying light with the Forsaken expansion, this I spotted, as I already owned the game on Steam, but not the expansion.

Yet after a base game update, I suddenly owned

Dying Light - The Forsaken Edition without the expansion, shady but no harm to me, I never got the Forsaken DLC.

Then Dying Light appeared on GOG, I double checked, and got The complete package, maintaining my, remove steam from my PC, aims buy buying each one that gives me an offline Installer (GOG release is usual result).

Then the very next day the entire X Series appears on GOG, ouch more cost, GOG's getting them faster and faster, but I made a promise (To myself, saying it online is makes no difference).
I had all but X Rebirth so got
The old games and
X Rebirth: Home of Light Edition

Well as I'm sure you've guessed I didn't, get the Home of Light DLC at all, not an happy GOG customer, but I never noticed, until a few days ago, when suddenly instead of owning the "Home of Light Edition", I now owned just
X Rebirth.

A support request confirmed I'd been shafted on this GOG deal, no home of light edition.

I was offered nothing (Buy expansion), or refund the bundle and buy the complete bundle.
Not good enough
I replied

Let me give as feedback, that I'm extremely dissapointed, the Bundled release, certainly gave me the impression that home of light was included.
I'm certain it was advertised as the X Rebirth: Home of Light Edition and I certainly wouldn't have bought that bundle if I'd known that was the case.
I'd have found the one with Home of Light, included.

I have bought over 200 games on GOG, since January my Steam games have gone from 130 to 86, all replaced with the GOG offlinne installers, the day they appear, or as soon as I see them.
So you ask me what I want, well I want the full package at the same price it would have cost me, on the day I thought I'd bought it, it's what I meant to get and thought I had.
If the refund and re-buy is the same price as I would have paid, on that day, that's fine with me, so go ahead, and I'll get the full bundle.
If not I want it at that price, however it's achieved. (Store credit is OK, to correct it after purchase) I'll use it up.

Please pass on this feedback to the sales team, i wanted to buy the full package, but was misled by the sales tactic
To say to me it's Home of Light Edition, when it's without the expansion is wrong, in so many ways.

UhuruNUru: I had no response and had to resend a few days later, and this time I got an automatic answer received reply.
So assume a SNAFU, but did some more checking, over on Steam.

Surprisingly, the Games on steam no longer showed the "Name of Expansion" Edition for the Base Games, And yes I saw it there for both of these, and here.

So I don't think this was deliberate by GOG or Steam, much as I detest Steam, publishers are much worse.
So just a Warning, if it says DLC edition, make sure it has the DLC.

Footnote is after my first complaint, and my extremely active buying history, I only joined GOG on 4th December 2012. my current Library stand at 2006, I bought 3 more while waiting for an answer.
Once GOG got my response it was acted upon fast enough first thing today (16 hours later)

UhuruNUru: Happy customer once more, I expected it to cost the original, price of the complete Bundle.
Satisfied support sorted it, but didn't expect to have to need any support, i think it was just a bad mistake by GOG and Steam, the publishers new what they were doing

This is more to warn of this new sales tactic, than praise GOG, but they've satisfied me.

Oh and got some feedback in along the lines of site for offline gamers, design it for them
Galaxy for online gamers design that (Rubbish) for them ( "Steamification" of GOG stops at the client)
Also added my objections to the broken Rep system, best time to give feedback is when they come with apoilogies.
Ranting on forums doesn't work, try feedback through support, especially when GOG say sorry.
Hey,

The issue with X Rebirth Home of Light you described is not an "underhanded tactic", it may be a bug and I think I may be able to fix it and get you sorted. Once I know what's up I'll let you know when to write to Support about getting the Home of Light version of the game back on your account, if you so choose.

But, wait...

You purchased only X Rebirth, and (as far as I understood) you were under the impression that it would contain the Home of Light expansion, which it doesn't. As far as I understand, this is the core of this misunderstanding.
To make it clear - no expansions are listed under "X Rebirth" - they are only listed under "X Rebirth: Home of Light Complete Edition", and "X Rebirth: Home of Light Complete Edition Upgrade", which also specifically have Home of Light as part of their titles.

If I understand correctly, you were on the X Rebirth product page, and clicked "add to cart" under "buy series". The series lists all the X games, including X Rebirth - not the Complete Edition instead, or the Complete Edition Upgrade alongside the base game.
The Upgrade is available on the same page as well, above the "buy series" section. It is not listed again under "buy series".
Another reason why it is not listed here (other than not listing the same thing twice) is that we would rather not force the Upgrade by default, onto people who want to buy the series, and make them pay more for something they may not want.
If someone wants to get the Upgrade, they're welcome to do so either by buying it in the same order, or in a separate order afterwards. There is no discount for buying X Rebirth together with the Upgrade, so it makes no difference when one purchases it.

You've made it clear in your ticket that you've been a loyal customer for a long time so, after discussing the matter in your ticket, we decided to offer you the Upgrade as a thank-you gift, and to make up for your inconvenience. It was not intended as a workaround for what you understood to be an "underhand sales tactic".

I hope that this helps clear up this misunderstanding.
