Looking for a good game that costs $30 or less. I typically play story driven rpg games and puzzle games similar to Myst. What would you guys recommend for me? I've been looking at the black mirror series but i'm not 100% sold on it yet.
RPG:

Fallout: New Vegas
Dragon Age™: Origins

Might want to provide some more info about your gaming preferences -- Any specific themes or settings you're looking for?

If you like spooky Point & Click games, the old Black Mirror games are a solid choice, especially at a discount. The new one seems to be mediocre, but I haven't tried it myself.

For RPGs, try Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines or Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption.

For puzzlers, try Goetia or Lake Ridden.

That's if you're sticking to the Halloween sale. If the sale doesn't matter... I guess I'll give a shoutout to Shadowrun: Dragonfall and Quern - Undying Thoughts.

I recommend this, it's amazing and one of the best RPGs ever:

Trails in the Sky
Less than 30$? Well, that's just a whole world.

Have you played the rest of the Myst series?

Judging from your profile, if you enjoyed Syberia you might also like The Longest Journey.
For story based RPGs, there's of course no way around Planescape: Torment.
You can't really go wrong with the adventure games that were originally published by Lucasarts so Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle and Grim Fandango could be good additions to your collection. Even Fate of Atlantis is worth playing through at least once.

As for story driven RPGs, I would also recommend Planescape:Torment. (The original, not Beamdog's 'Enhanced' version)

Story-driven RPG...
My apologies first if you already have this game (I don't have time to check), but what about the original Witcher? Combat is fairly forgiving compared to some others, and the decision-tree isn't too complex. It's a pretty good balance of combat & story actually.
And if you spend some time enough time posting around on the forum, you might score a daggered copy free from the GOG giveaway thread.

I, personally, couldn't get into that title (mainly because of the poorly written and unskippable introductory cutscene and the tedious 'tutorial' afterward) so perhaps you found diamonds where i saw dirt. ^_^U

If this is a 'turnstyle title' (ala Fallout 1) that gets better after the first dungeon, I may give it another chance but I'm not entirely sold on guiding a spoiled brat and her 'lapdog' to their 'destiny'. -_-

I have better worlds/universes to explore.

I can vouch for this, since I just finished it last week. Be sure to have a pen and paper handy to map out the mazes though, or you might get a little shirty.

I see what you're saying, but I'd say a large part of what you described is because it's a very slow-burn type of game. It does start out pretty boring, but gradually ramps up the quality of the story, character-development, and world-building to epic levels.

But to discover what the game is really about will require patience and slogging through some boring early parts until it eventually gets cooking.
