I think i will try out Garuda Xfce Linux distribution on my research build, but not sure yet... It seems something not to far away from the well known Win environment, yet still customizable but not "naked way over the edge" which is rather for advanced users and not for "getting to know it".

I think i will then even be able to customize all the missing "menu stuff" back which has been gone on Win 11, in some comparable way, but i do not expect it to be easy.

Oh, there's definitely ways to customize the hell out of XFCE.
I actually want something that is close to how i experience Win 10 because i am fine with and now used to this design, so i try to somewhat copy this behavior into Linux. So Garuda in general may have good possibilitys, as the roots from ArchLinux can allow for the possible customization. Ubuntu surely is most user friendly but the custom will not be sufficient for this task... and ArchLinux itself is so freaky raw that i surely do know, "this is to much to handle for me, and i have simply to much other work to do... i lack that power".

It was always the main culprit from Linux, not being user-friendly enough, and of course the general compatibility issues with gaming as the games are tuned for Windows. For a long time this was a serious issue but Linux is starting to become more mature year after year, and more capable. So i think, this is a great time for me slowly "diving" into this Unix-Environment, getting to know this world and maybe someday i can truly replace Windows with.
