Thanks. Added Sega, Namcp and Tecmo!
Will add Warner when a thread is started, but not before...
Should also mention that it´s a bit tricky for non-UK and non-US-Users to get to that NamcoLink---you´ll first have to visit http://www.bandainamcogames.eu, it will than switch to your country and you´ll than have to switch to UK via the little flag at the top! Then you´ll be able to use the link---before that step it will link to a dead end!
Good work! And LOL at the idiot that just had to pop up to scream "You don't need GOG! Steam is all you need! Bow to Gabe, the most holy!"

I think that this one is even more funny/ sad...: "All you're asked to do with Steam is to spend 2 seconds logging on to verify you actually paid for the game."
http://forums.sega.com/showthread.php?410485-SEGA-games-on-GOG-com&p=7314260&viewfull=1#post7314260
And two posts later:
"Because those whole 3 seconds are so valuable?"

Very amusing...
It's not really DRM it's only verifying that you actually paid for the game.

Good initiative. If it helps getting more games on GOG I'm all for it.
I'm trying to register at Koei Tecmo Europe, but am getting "The string you entered for the image verification did not match what was displayed."

Ideas?
I think this thread deserves a bump with 2K's inclusion of DRM-free X-COM games in the Humble Bundle. (though I know they are DRM-free on GamersGate and Steam [they can be played offline], I want to push for them to appear here)

I'll probably start linking to this thread again with my "fake sig".

Not all of them. Enforcer and Interceptor cannot actually be played without the client.

You sure? I just bought the bundle and have Bioshock and the original 5 X-COM games as "Direct Link" and "BitTorrent" options, as well as Steam keys of course.

Yes, I am sure that the Steam versions of Enforcer and Interceptor can't be played without the Steam client.

Right, but under the Steam keys are Bioshock and the 5 X-COM classics are included as direct downloads. Are those versions also Steam versions?

Well, I'll just test it now.

I never said anything about the Humble versions. I bolded Steam [they can be played offline] from your text. That's true for the DOS games, but not for the Windows ones.

Ah okay, I didn't notice the bold; the reason I posted about them was because of the Humble deal.

And I was able to start up Enforcer via direct download with no issues. (Interestingly, the game didn't even need to install, just extract.)

Of course, you could; these are the Humble DRM-Free versions. As for their method of installation, it depends on the game; some (like Bastion) come with installers, while others (like Mark of the Ninja) come in an archive.

tfishell: Thanks for the thread! I'll dump what info I can, and you can decide if you find it useful or not.

Regarding SuperGiant, I was in contact with Greg Kasavin, and he said, "We have no immediate plans for this though we haven't ruled anything out for the future and appreciate your interest. For what it's worth the Steam version of Transistor is DRM-free and can be played offline once downloaded."
Yeah, people like him don't get it.

Is that also what Kerberos is saying about Ground Pounders that came out today?

Yeah, it's quite nice to have DRM-free versions of those games, without having to use Steam.
