The situation is a bit confusing at the moment, this is what's the most possible explanation right now. I own Hitman Complete First Season from the humblebundle monthly bundle. I went here https://store.steampowered.com/app/863550/HITMAN_2/

and pressed install. Hitman 2 appeared in the licenses but I don't have a pc at the moment to check. People say that this adds the Hitman 2 prologue for free...

AND

If you own the dlcs(Episodes) from Hitman, after you download the 8GB for the prologue, it checks and tells you to download 30GB that contain the remastered maps from Hitman and then you can play them in Hitman 2 for free.

If someone has the Hitman GOTY or Hitman Complete First Season, you can check and post more info.

Just wanted to say you can also play the rest of the game for free if you so desire as well, from various sources, I know thats kind of obvious thanks to piracy but the game had Denuvo and was cracked before it was even released. What I imagine will happen is pirates will try just alittle of the game before they decide to download the entire game at least thats what I'll do, but it is an odd coincidence they did this right after the crack was released.

I can confirm, that you can access/play all the content of "Hitman (2016)" in "Hitman 2" - IF you own either
"Hitman (2016) (GOTY)" - like I do, or if you buy the "Legacy Pack" for "Hitman 2".

The Prologue is exactly like the Prologue in "Hitman (2016)", afaik, they only added two or three ways to complete it.

In-game, you have the possibility to purchase the new episodes and the "Sniper Assassin" and "Ghost Mode".

Edit: it seems as if you also can play the "contracts" designed for the first game - for the contracts on the new maps, you have to purchase the new maps first, of course.
