I bought the gog version of both the original (which works flawlessly) and the expansion Alpha Centauri Alien Crossfire or something (which comes up off-centered and badly sized I tried to attach a screenshot but it was too large.

You might check the forum - gog.com/forum -> search bottom left bar for "alpha cen" - and if that doesn't help contact Support.
