So yeah. I'm sorry if these kind of topics arent allowed, but...

Basically when i linked my steam account to gog connect, it was set to private. I checked on gog connect today and it didnt detect any games. I then found out it was because of the privacy settings...
So i went on steam, set my profile and inventory to public, but when i came back to gog connect to refresh they still didnt find any "compatible games".
I have a few compatible games on my steam account, but gog connect still cant find them, even though i set my profile to public before refreshing the game list...

What's the deal? What do i do? Is it too late because i had to have my account setting to public when i was CONNECTING the accounts?
thanks!

Check if you saved the changes to the privacy settings. Other than that, you might just have to wait a bit longer.
Keep trying - it's a new feature and it is in high demand right away, so it may just come up on its own. I'd send in a support ticket as well - if nothing else, in case it doesn't clear up soon, it locks in the fact that you were trying to make the transfer while the games were available.

Definitely not. I also had my profile set to private at first, and the "connecting" did indeed fail but I got my games very quickly (I think within minutes) when I refreshed once my profile was set to public. My best advice is to just keep trying. Maybe try another browser but I doubt that can affect things in this case.
Right. It's been a bit more than a month and i still cant get a link between my gog.com account and my steam account.
That sucks...

Have you even connected the accounts?

What do you get on the gog.com/connect page?

I'm a bit unclear about your situation. Are your GOG and Steam accounts linked? What message do you get on the GOG Connect page? Are you in a queue, or stuck in some fasion?
If this is the case, you should contact GOG Support, if you haven't already, and explain your situation, they've sorted out others, one way or another.
I hate to say it but the offers for the games may have expired already. so we may be out of luck

You necroed a 1½ year old thread... there will most likely be new time limited offers at some point. It may be a good idea to connect the accounts before the influx of such an offer.

Fair enough. I appreciate the reply to a dead thread btw
