Hi, I'm new on GoG.
Would you suggest to install games manually or through the Galaxy client?
I read that people had trouble with the client (they were not able to delete it).
- Do you like/want any of the features Galaxy adds? If yes, use Galaxy.
- If not, don't.
- Some multiplayer needs the client.

Yeah I just need to buy two old games here, not for multiplayer.
Probably Galaxy makes installations easier and faster?

Ok. I will miss updates for my games if I install them manually though, right?
That could be a problem.

By the way I have installed the files manually.
It was something very easy to do.

Nope. You can just press update when any are available.

Yes, u'll notice a blue dot in the nx to ur game title in the Games tab. So u wld know if there's a new update for the game. Anyway, my personal preference is to download, install & update games manually. Since u only doing for 2 old games it's not that big of an issue.

I have no issues with Galaxy and use it to install games from time to time. Mostly when it is a big game that is cut into multiple 4GB chunks if I were to download it manually.

Old games rarely get updates (why would they, they're 'complete/finished'). But if they do, you can see it here: https://www.gog.com/account (The title above the list; My Collection (X, X updated))
