None of my characters have any visible weapons during character creation nor in the the game. The original version was not like this. Any ideas?

Boy I feel dumb. During character creation I was choosing "Color part 1 & 2" but not "P" for part. Once I did that it would let me cycle through the weapon sprites. Can't believe I missed that!
