I encountered a fatal bug, where whenever I leave an area using the exit grid in Old Town, after saving Talus, the game crashes.

I am using patch 1.35 as well as the Restoration Mod and the resolution mod.

Which resolution mod? There are a couple out there I think, and they might not all be stable with the GOG version of Fallout.

Which restoration mod? There was this one by Wasteland Ghost but it's been replaced by Fallout Fixt.

I would use Fixt, but the fact that it makes a new folder in the Fallout directory really bothers me.

In that case, I'd say ask her but she's long gone. You could try asking Sduibek, but he will probably tell you to use Fixt instead, which fixed a lot of bugs in Wasteland Ghost's mod.

afaik the last version of the restoration mod is 1.2, which shouldn't have any problems with the hi-res patch. Just in case though, what version of the hi-res patch are you using? Did the restoration mod include its own binary and are you using it or did you download it separately?

Finally, did you check the readme that came with both mods for known bugs?
