Speaking as someone who played the game from start to finish, I really recommend just diving in. I can assure you that if you liked Myst and you like exploring small towns then this is the game for you :)

Micro-BIOS: It looks like realMyst. Really pretty, but it gives me the same feeling of loneliness I have with Myst (no people to interact with). Maybe that was ok with Myst, because it was part of the story, but I don't know if it fits well here.
It fits quite well here, in my opinion, as we are dealing with memories in this game AND on top of that, you do get to hear people in the game. It's kind of difficult for me to explain without spoiling some of the story.
