When launched without administration rights under vista, the game requests a serial to play.
However, starting it with admin priviledges (from the installer account) may bypass this problem.
For those who stumble upon this trouble, I hope I've helped.
For gog.com, could you correct it ? I don't like to have to run games with admin priviledges.

Lot's of games require administration privileges to run and almost all of them require them to install. Our games doesn't differ much. Making installers/games required sometimes adminitration rights and sometimes not is a little bit confusing for users. Therefore our games require admin rights to run and setup.
