IPX wrapper is included that allows playing over LAN via IPX option, but the description on gamecard is nevertheless misleading and I see if we can change it.

kdanarch: Okay... that is a real bummer, honestly. Direct TCP/IP would have been ideal. Battle.net support would have been second best. Now I need to figure out how to VPN together with my friends to play together, which creates a huge technical hurdle. :(
Battle.net is supported in 'classic' mode (no upscaling)

Does this work over wireless?
As long as both machines are on the same wireless network, yes.
