Hi.

My problem is that dosbox detects the joystick without issue[attached image] but I can't select any joystick options from the Descent 1 controls menu.

I can configure the keyboard without any problems, it just doesn't seem to like my joystick.
Anyone got and protips or suggestions?

Ok I have fixed the issue. I downloaded d1x-rebirth, dragged the files to the descent folder and ran the game through d1x-rebirth.exe.

dxx-rebirth[dot]com works for d1 and d2
