It seems that every time I try to run this game, all I get is the "CoTN has stopped working" error.

I've tried all the usual tweaks, but nothing seems to work.

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

This is a strange crash. I have Windows 10 and the game would always come up with the stopped working message. I've tried for years to get it to work and eventually gave up.

Recently, I upgraded my computer's graphics card and now the game works with no problems so far. I'm not even sure why the game now works when it didn't before. The card I had before was a GeForce GTX 650 and my new card is a GeForce GTX 1060.

I think the issue is related to .NET Framework 3.5. Please verify that you have it installed. If not, you should install it from Turn Windows features on or off in Control Panel. For me it solved the problem.
