Hi there!

I am new to the game and I am very impressed with the development process and I support the developer 100%. I am not sure if the suggestions I will give here have already been considered.

I saw an old interview on Space Game Junkie's Podcast where you discussed the skill system and training of skills. You talked about your philosophy regarding the player not having all the information about the skills available in the game and I am all for that, but I think that a skill tree overview would be a nice feature to have.

These are my suggestions:
- The skill tree is a window that can be opened from the skill tab in the pilot details window.
- At the start of the game the skill tree is empty except for known skills at the beginning of the game. (The tree is blank, no grayed out boxes or visible connections.)
- When visiting the university at a station there is an option to download the available course information of that station for a fee. The fee scales with number of skills. The fee is reduced/increased depending on the players standing with the faction owning the station.
- With the information downloaded, the respective skills in the tree will be revealed. The skills are nodes and the connections show the required level.
- If a skill has a prerequisite skill that is not known about, that skill will only be revealed grayed out with no other information except the name and required level.
- When clicking a skill in the tree, a list of all known stations providing it will be viewable. You have to download the information from the station for it to be added to this list.

Thanks for being involved with the community!
some interesting ideas.... i could almost see the ui as i read the explanation. i'm gonna chew on this for awhile. if i am going to change the skills system, i want to make sure i get it right before i start poking the code.
Hi there Dev momoguru,

Normally I don't buy any In-development games, but I am very impressed with the level of involvement and reponses you have shown towards the GOG community.

That pretty much has won me over to invest in a game that hasn't been officially release as a completed game yet.

I will add my thanks for developing the game and encourage you to keep up the good work, you'll make fans out of alot of us yet.

P.S. Now I'm off to purchase the game lol.
thank you so much for the support! it means more than you could ever know.
