HamsterExAstris If you attempt to redownload an installer/extra with the GOG Downloader, it will verify the existing file before redownloading unnecessarily. Galaxy doesn't do that; it just downloads a second copy of the extra.
Eff_X Please add this! As c0hen wrote, this should be easy to implement by checking hashes.
c0hen A convenient way is to add a checksum file (SHA256) to the downloads section. It's essential to check downloads as otherwise we have no way to know if we can play the game without errors in the future / make backups to install later.

Merlac Seriously, we need this! I always try to download the Backup & Extras for alls my GOG Games. With the old GOG Downloader I didn't load the files twice (or more) by mistake. Now I have to look at the changelog (thanks for implementing!) to know which files have been updated. Otherwise Galaxy downloads (and overwrites) all those i clicked on, without verification if they're already there.
gladosminion Currently i only see an option to verify downloaded games... I hope it can also be done for the extras as i downloaded it manually from the site before the Galaxy age. Please consider this GoG.
Thokali This is an essential drawback in comparison to the GOG Downloader. It should be not too complicated to implement, though...
