JakobFel We have DRM-free distributors of games (GOG, ItchIO, IndieGala) and of music (Bandcamp) but there really aren't any DRM-free movie/show distributors. Who better to start one than the company that started the DRM-free movement in gaming?

fridgeband I would really like it if gog.com became the new redbox. Imagine being able to buy a movie at the price of a rental from redbox (like $2) and download it at 1080p and just watch it on your computer. That would be cool. I don't like the movies because the seats are always covered in strange dirty things like old chewing gum and someone is always kicking my seat or bring a crying baby into a HORROR movie (HELLOOO?? of course the baby is scared!) and I don't like all the other movie/tv show services charging monthly fees on me and barely even putting out one movie or tv show I care about every 4-5 months... YIKES...! Redbox still has a bunch of low budget low quality movies with terrible acting that nobody wants to watch but at least when redbox finally gets a good movie in, it only costs like $2 and you only have to pay that once (if you bring it back by the right time) and then you're done. You pay once, and you're done. No monthly subscription fees while the months go by with nothing worth watching. If gog could capture the essence of what makes redbox so excellent and offers a similar thing online, that would be AMAZING!

F4LL0UT I'm still dreaming of a website that would provide movies and shows with the same philosophy as GOG shares games. DRM free downloads, region free. Would be brilliant if GOG started doing that, maybe with the (awful) Witcher film and TV series? :D
