The Journey Down completed
All 3 chapters are now available :)
Man, this game would be a perfect fit for GOG. One of the best point-and-click games I've played in a very long time. Not only that, but one of the most gorgeous ones I've ever seen. Would love to see them on this platform.
Got it on End of summer sale in Humble Store for 3$ for 1+2 chapter pack (funny, it was cheaper in pack then 2 chapter alone). I would purchase it on GOG, but its not here
These are perfect for GOG! They are old-school point-n-click adventures (Good Old Genre... check!), they're completely DRM-free single-player games (Good Old Freedom), and they're on each PC platform, Win/Lin/Mac (Good Old Choice). While they are only a few years old, their third and final installment will complete the series, making them eligible to be sold here as a collection. Please, please, please consider bringing SkyGoblin into the GOG family!
they are now doing a third chapter along with the first 2 so it will be complete the fund raiser ends Oct31 they have reached their first stretch goal ,
This game(s) are great and will fit perfectly in here. I played chapter 1 and 2 on linux. Nice art and amazing music. Especially the music is much better than in most other games. At the moment they run a kickstarter for chapter 3 aiming to have again great music for this last episode. This really sould be on GoG.
Chapers 1 & 2 are already available here - www.thejourneydown.com/
Chapter 3 (the final chapter) is now successfully funded on Kickstarter.
Now it's time to bring all 3 chapters to GOG.
Summery:
In a shady corner of Kingsport Bay..
...at the outskirts of St Armando, Bwana and his trusted sidekick Kito struggle to make ends meet at their run-down gas station. Little do they know that they are about to be thrown into a spine-tingling adventure that will take them far from home and right into a twisting plot of corruption and danger.
This fits perfectly into the GoG catalogue. One of the games I'm waiting for years to get finished. Back to the old days of adventure gaming. I've met those guys last year in London and this year in Cologne, they're really standing behind their game and they want to make it as good as possible. I'm really sure they're doing some very special with the final chapter. This should definitely be on GoG.
There is now (Oct 1 2015) a kickstarter to fund the last episode. www.kickstarter.com/projects/983397390/the-journey-down/description
There's also a free, low-res, version for chapter 1 for those that want to sample the game; www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1344/
Loving it! Should be goggified! :) Just the music where the controls are given to player, in the room where you start... And the voice actors... And the visuals are just nice too. Five stars!
Part II is available now as well. www.thejourneydown.com
This game is so great that I'm surprised it's not on GOG .
:D
It's available now on Steam, so let's hope GOG gets it as well. =)
The Journey Down: Chapter One is a really good game that captures the spirit of the mid to late 1990's adventure games really well. I'd love to see this on GOG.com along with the remaining 3 chapters once they come out.
Seems like an interesting good looking game. The only - I saw in the reviews was that it was short and it felt like a long prolouge. But it is The Journey Down - Chapter One so...
Looks nice with HD graphics and is already marked DRM free on the already available platforms. Take it, GOG, it's a good catch!
This fits right in there with the Grim Fandango and Monkey Island demographics.Good stuff.
