The premise of romance stories in a school for disabled students is sometimes misconstrued as fetish-y or depraved, but in actuality this VN treats its subject matter with a certain level of dignity that I feel many popular VNs lack. It's a solid collection of stories about moving forward with your life in the face of hardship, and also serves as a shining example of just how much can be accomplished through nothing more than amateur collaboration.

I've heard that gog says its not interested in VNs? but if true I can think of at least one VN that is on GOG (and its sequel) . and its a pretty niche and bizarre one at that (not that I disliked it, but I cant deny its insanity). The first one is also a dating sim , while the sequel is pretty much pure VN. So...I don;t understand why Katawa Shoujo being here being here and other VNs like Cinders, Solstice, Cinderella phenomenon, etc, which are much less niche and strange in their premise would be an issue.

Even if you don't agree Vns are a type of game (to me the interactive ones where the player has some input and influence are at least,), they are still much closer to games than movies which GOG also sells . Static VNs which have no player input to the characters actions or the story aren't games, they're basically the visual e-books the genres name implies, but Katawa Shoujo does not fall into that category.

Indeed an incredible game. Might become more realistic with the success of VNs on steam
