Pseudoman The ability to pause the download of content through the Galaxy Client. There is a cancel button in the download queue, but no pause button. This would be a nice feature to have.
JustePourMoi Hello, even though you say this wish has been completed, everytime I try to resume a paused download, it starts from zero again hence wasting my previous download. This feature is important to me because I don't have unlimited Internet monthly usage. Or is there a trick I am missing?

AliasAndrew Still not fixed? Had to restart yesterday and lost about 5% of my download progress. Then at night I turned off my pc at about 90%, only to wake up to it being at 48%. Both times I had paused the download
Th3pwn3r Hello all just for whoever searches this because I didn't know how to pause...in order to download a smaller game...YOU CAN CLICK AND DRAG to change the download order of games! I did this wanting to install Fallout2 quickly so I could play while pre-loading Cyberpunk :) Hope this helps out some people.
Fnordimus This is indeed not working for me either. What's worse, though: Even exiting the client (and ending it via task bar) doesn't actually close the program and it keeps downloading. Have to actually kill the process to stop the download. Win7 64 bit.
Krstorm It's really annoying when you restart your computer to find that the download that was halfway done is somehow only 20% done now, how does that even happen? Come on now, I bought The Witcher 3 a few days ago and I haven't been able to play it because the same thing keeps happening every time I turn of my computer, this does not happen with Steam.
dylbernatzky93 Just exit the client, once it's exited it stops but if you restart it it continues from where it left i.e. a pause function
omdad You click on pause but the client keeps downloading even after it says paused in the bar. Please fix your client.
jsjrodman How about a pause that actually works? I clicked pause and 20 minutes later it hadn't paused.
Plok_HR To all those who can't find it - when downloading, click on the bottom left bar that tells you how much has been downloaded. You will have a Pause All button available. Pretty stupid location, but it's there.

czerniana I cannot seem to find the pause option despite this saying it was completed. I've looked everywhere with no such luck. Is this not actually implemented?

Destro This feature is now available in the preview of GOG Galaxy Update 1.1. To install the Update 1.1, select "Receive preview updates..." option in GOG Galaxy settings and restart the app after few minutes. This feature will be soon available also to users who don't participate in the preview.

Jimlad I don't understand, what are the devs doing? I just installed Galaxy today, but this has clearly been an issue since day one. What good is a download client that can't pause? Once my current download is finished I'm uninstalling until this feature gets added - whichever idiot manager decided to launch without it and has delayed its implementation to date, please everyone on the dev team give him a slap.
PolarTrance When I have a big download going on gog or steam, my internet gets crippeled, and a pause button would ease the problem of having to start from the beginning if I suddenly need to do something important in the middle.
Garks I really need this beacause my connection is really bad and i can't install big games in 1 time..
calumchamp2000 Indeed, we really need this. Im trying to download the witcher 2, and its annoying to have to start ALL OVER AGAIN if I need to stop the download for some reason
thedorkjedi please add this soon. i waited for 2 and a half days for witcher 2 to finish. had to close it on the 3rd day. from 90% of 8gb, its now 0 again.. its frustrating to even open GOG itself.
Barnacle This and cloud saves are easily the most frustrating thing missing from Galaxy. Wonderful client otherwise.
I would also say that being able to limit download speed would be great. The only reason this is an issue is the terrible internet in the my country...

MetisRebel "Pause" is so basic to programming a downloading client that if I'd known it was not there, I'd never have bothered installing it.

The regular gog downloader is miles ahead of galaxy for simple downloading features including restricting allocated bandwidth.

pyovue Just Right Click from the system bar and Press Exit. It will resume once opened again.
Kakise You can also use a download manager like uget with the extension "FlashGot" and download from the website while they are implementing this feature. It works very well :)

chatnick If Galaxy troubles you use the Downloader instead (it is still available and working) until Galaxy has all fixed up and is working.

nightshadow2424 I found a fix that should work. If your download fails, go to the more tab- manage- repair. It compares your game to the one on thier server and installs the files that you are missing

Phaidox @dragoniguana - I couldn't agree more, when it comes to absolutely essential features begging to be implemented, this one is at the top of the list.
