Download multiple/all games
+1 to this, including A mass download of updates or patches. Its tiring to have to go through and rearchive everything. So many updates come out so fast. So what i do is just one day every year, i just mass re-download everything, patches and all. Just my god though. My god
Using tick boxes from your list of purchased games, the option to either multi install or multi backup (download) to a local computer would be a great idea, whether via the site, galaxy or both (if it's not available already).
Please be aware that at a site that sells DRM-Free games then there is a huge difference between download and install.
At GOG download means to get what you paid for and install to use the game purchase !

This is much needed.
Just use enable windows subsystem for linux. Install Ubuntu distro. Fire up Ubuntu console and type: "sudo apt update" (press enter) after that type:"sudo apt install lgogdownloader" (enter) after the instalation of lgogdownloader is done change the directory to where you want to download all the library. Windows disks are mounted under /mnt/ so for example C: drive is mounted at /mnt/c/ and D: is mounted at /mnt/d/ So if you want to download all games to C:\Gog Type: "cd /mnt/c/Gog/" (remember that linux is case sensitive) Now you are in C:\Gog. To start downloading your game collection type: "lgogdownloader --login" now provide your login and password and after that just type: "lgogdownloader --download" to download your entire library into current folder. To play with lgogdownloader settings type"nano .config/lgogdownloader/config" and adjust settings like language or platforms for installers you want to download.
Or they could remove the EULA for us in Euroupe as it doesent matter here.... Huehuehue....
But I agree with @Nix32. Downloading everything in bulk for one game at a time is more important atm.
This please...
I would love to see this. My GOG Library is now at 1,528 games and I would love to be able to download offline installers to back up the entire lot in one go. Manually clicking each of these would take forever.
Just upgraded to a 6TB gaming drive.. Steam was easy, over 1000 new installs, just by group selecting and installing. It'll take a while, but all automatic. Go to do the same in GoG, and uh oh! Over 100 games to individually click through and install?!! Please... please add batch downloading.
To be honest I don't care if they are all installed. Simply having a way of just telling GOG Galaxy where to dump them and then automatically have it download and maintain the installers would work just fine.
I have almost 300 games ATM, keeping track of what I've downloaded already is a PITA. At the very least give us a way to know what is already downloaded and a quicker way to start each one.
I concur. I'm trying to re-install my library after a HDD failure. Individually clicking on each game, waiting for the EULA to load, and clicking Accept for 40 games is NOT fun.
I Agree. Download ALL button would be great.
Automatically maintaining my local folder of game installers is the only reason I want a client. If I have to do it one at a time, I can just use the website. I'm uninstalling Galaxy until this is implemented.
Yeah im pretty disappointed i half to do this manually. Good thing every time i make a purchase i literally download all versions, to archive just incase. Just a bit upset that this GOG Galaxy application seems to offer a slight convience but not the major feature i wanted, automated mass download of my game library and updating the downloaded backup files or update package when it comes out. That would be the ultimate convience for me with this program. The rest of the functionality GOG Galaxy has to offer to me, is minor and if you ask me, doesn't mean as much to me over all.
Galaxy should not only allow to easily do a local copy of the library (with options regarding additional content), but also optionally keep that local library updated automatically.
Right now we are a step back regarding this (specially regarding the backup files), as in Galaxy Beta 1.2 we can't even choose a separate folder to download the files anymore: www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/bring_back_manual_folder_path_for_backup_goodies_downloads
PLEASE add a feature to download some or all games and OPTIONALLY DLC / Bonus content without having to click each and every game.
I too would like an easy way to do this. 100+ one at a time manual installs is cumbersome. If you expect to grow to a steam like level (for example, where I have 1700 games) you need a similar way that they have where you can specify a game download directory and install multiple games at once.
This seems to describe the request to download the (temporary) file and install multiple games simultaneously. Although that might be useful, I think the more urgent request is for an option to download everything in "Backup & Goodies" (which includes "Game Backup Copy" and "Game Extras") from multiple (preferably all) games with a single click. We need a batch backup option for Galaxy, similar to the old GOG Downloader.
5TB ~130€
just 2-3 fullprice-games
with a tiny internet connection (germany low-tech country outside of big cities) its hard to wait hours to play a game you just NOW would like to play.
So i download them all to play whenever i like.
and, that much i know, 2000+ easily fit onto a 5TB
such an option would be realy nice!
or compared to steam, a list to mark everything you want to download, and confirm once
I'd also like a quick "get all content" option so that I can get all the goodies with a game. Also, please give an option to show if there are items to download or not so I don't waste bandwidth on duplicate downloads.
I agree. There should be an easy way to download the whole library including everything that could be downloaded by hand to fill a clean backup hard disk. Galaxy is way too unhandy for this task. The assumption is you don't want to because you want to support Galaxy, but the idea of GOG to my understanding once was open, easy, DRM-free. At least, please offer an easy documented API for developers.
same for the extras, ability to download large groups or all not currently downloaded at once. Thank you, enjoying what you guys have done so far with it.
same here, I've already downloaded all the games + extras, but the new GOG Galaxy doesn't see them.
I tried the Import method, and... that didn't work well
I would like to be able to point the Galaxy Client at my already-downloaded game files, preferably by it looking at the older GOG downloader and seeing where I saved my downloads. Then, I would like Galaxy to let me tell it where all of the games are installed. This one game at a time nonsense is going to have me uninstalling Galaxy in short order.
I currently have 297 games from GOG. I am not going to go through the game-by-game download and installation dance 297 times just to get everything into Galaxy.
Same here
"I would like a feature that downloads all games (including bonus content) to a specified location. It doesn't need to install them, I just want an easy way to create an offline backup of my library."
I would like your wish fulfilled by fulfilling my wish : www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/custom_setting_of_galaxy_default_action_response_when_clicking_galaxy_button_on_game_page
I think a good middle ground would be: selecting the games you want to download, press "download selected", choose where all the selected items should be installed (so you lose fine control for making it faster), then have the EULAs show up (because I guess you have to) and each "accept" starts the download/install of that game.

Multiple I can understand but as someone with over 100 games in my library, having an "Install All" option could quickly run me out of disk space if I make a drunken error one evening.
