conniewcs: So I bought this game today, and I think I WAS near halfway complete. But then I ran into some sort of bug and now cannot launch the game at all. The problem began after visiting Mythran. After that, the screen kind of got out of whack, with images randomly appearing in patches on the screen. I continued playing until I got hold of the reagents for Vividos/the Necromancer. It then crashed and exited on its own. When I tried to launch the game again, it goes to a black screen with the message:

Program halted by code.
_"

Has 6 hours of hard play been for nothing? :(

conniewcs: Hiya, thanks for replying. I uninstalled the game and moved my saved games back into the directory and the game launched, but my other saves were also corrupted and I couldn't progress further into the game. The problem was the NPCs wouldn't talk to me. I'd double click them and they'd turn to me, but there was no dialogue. And I couldn't do anything, not even press ESC. It looks like I'll have to start the game from scratch again. I wouldn't have minded so much if I hadn't already spent almost 2 hours trying to max my stats. I think I would have managed to complete the game today if I hadn't run into this problem. Thanks anyway.
