Hey all,

bit of a special question here. I've just purchased and downloaded the MM Sixpack. I want to play MM6 on my Android device (Galaxy Note 4), using a Windows 95 installation inside DOSBox (MagicDosbox - ingenious btw, you should check it out :-) ).

This setup is working for other games, I can e.g. play Diablo without any issues. It also worked with my old CD version of MM6, but 1. it's the German version, which is plain horrible, and 2. using the CD images is a PITA (that's why I bought the Sixpack).

So, I've installed MM6 to my PC, then copied the game files to a HDD image, and transferred it to my phone.

Now, when I launch MM6.exe, i get the following error message:
"The D:\Games\MM&\MSS32.DLL file expects a newer version Windows. Upgrade your Windows version."

For obvious reasons I won't/can't do this. Is there any way to make the GOG version run in Win95, e.g. by overwriting files with older ones from the CD version?

Thanks!
Alex

Alternatively you can use ExaGear RPG. It should also be faster than running it from under emulated DOS with Win95 installation.

Tried that, but ExaGear is too buggy, has a tendency to break savegames, and the controls are really bad. MagicDosbox on the other hand allows you to freely create your own control scheme. Therefore, I'm trying all I can to get MM6 to work this way. Perhaps if I try to copy MM6 files from my old CD version one by one... tedious work, but maybe I'll give it a shot.
