So, I'm currently playing MM2. I imported my characters from MM1 so they started at level 7. I obtained a fair bit of gold from the pegasus, rescued the green bishop, and bought good equipment at the stores. I just wanted to know what would be a good place to level up my characters quickly up to at least level 20 before I tackle the Cuisinarts, since right now (at level 7) my characters can't beat them. If anyone has a suggestion of where to gain experience relatively quickly, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Why not just play the game normally? It's more enjoyable that way. If you grind those Cuisinarts what will happen is that for the rest of the game in every encounter you run the risk of facing 255 enemies instead of 10-20.

255 enemies? Wow, that's a lot! I suppose it's a kind of very primitive level scaling.

I prefer to call it anti-OCD measures.
You can raise your character levels and stats temporarily before doing this battle.
While I also recommend playing the game normally, if you really want to power-level you should get your hands on some skill potions. These temporarily increase a character's level (by 5, I think) and will help a lot with tougher fights.

Then again, I couldn't kill Cuisinarts until the end of the game when I had a high-powered party, so I'm not sure how to tackle them with a lower-level party. I'm also not sure what the best places to grind for experience are (at least places that won't instantly kill you at low level).

I do know that you should do all your training at Atlantium, as this will give the most HP per level. There is a place in the game where you can "correct" your HP to what it would have been if you trained exclusively in Atlantium, though, so don't worry if you've already done a few trainings elsewhere.
SPOILERS

One way to defeat the Cuisinarts at a lowish level is to:

1. Buy a Teleport Orb and the Jump spell
2. Cast a Lloyd's Beacon spell at the Dragon's Dominion
3. Drink from the Greatest Fountain for a temp boost to level 50 and stats to 200 (Fly to E2, go 2 squares North then turn East and teleport 8 squares)
4. Recall to the Dragon's Dominion and jump over all the encounters to the secret area with good weapons including a Photon Blade +7 - it's slightly below the centre on the far right side of the map (at 13, 6) the entrance is through a wall in the South-East corner
5. Optionally repeat the above steps a few times to get multiple Photon Blades
6. Head to the Cuisinarts and use the Photon Blades to cast Implosion and kill them - might have to be a little lucky to avoid multiple Frenzy spells and the Moon Ray spell / Magic Herbs helps to keep the party alive.

Edit: loot pile is on the right side, not the left side

4. I highly doubt that you are guaranteed to find a Photon Blade. AFAIK, all loot in MM2 is random.
Here is a trick, not for the lowest parties, but medium or low-medium parties might try:

_Simply let them Frenzy and survive. The survivor *only* will get all the xp. If he can cast Divine Intervention it's all that easier.

I killed them using this technique. I was powerful enough to survive the frenzies with one or 2 chars, but not powerful enough to kill them normally.

Some loot is not random - see attached screenshot. This particular loot pile is located at 13,6 in the Dragon's Dominion and reappears when you exit and reenter.

Yeah. That's the best spot to grab some great gear.

Grabbing some good gear and doing a few choice Jump spells and slowly hacking your way through an ancient dragon in Dragon's Dominion will also get you the +1000hp for all of your characters. That doesn't help with the Cuisinarts a whole lot (they sure do hit hard), but it helps with most of the game.

As for leveling up, I usually work through the arenas for a while to make some money and gain some spells. I hit the few quests I can manage, too. When I feel a bit overpowered by the enemies, I grind out a few levels with some Cuisinart or something similar and then get back to business.

I had forgotten about that cache.
You certainly seem to know your way around MM2.

It's my childhood, represented in game form :). I know quite a few from the series inside-out, but even so I'm sure there are people that know them better than me!
