У меня к вам неожиданное (я бы даже сказал - внезапное) обращение.
Я тут ищу поддержку уже принятому решению (сиречь, совета прошу). Во что мне стоит поиграть после моего ненаглядного Planescape: Torment? Да, случится сие не завтра, но пора бы уже начать подумывать.
Не так давно ко мне приехала-таки "Бразилья", и вот я смотрел-смотрел на её облогу, да и понял, что давненько не трогал киберпанк\пост-киберпанк\кибер-фантастику\фьюче-нуар (или как оно называется?). Потому я прошерстил свои библиотеки и построил такой список вариантов:
1. Omikron: The Nomad Soul;
2. DreamWeb;
3. BloodNet;
4. Technobabylon;
5. Gemini Rue.
"Левые" варианты просьба не предлагать.
Заранее благодарен.
В Omikron в память об Дэвиде Боуи. Я правда в остальные игры из списка не играл.

There's only one answer to what to play after Planescape: Torment and that is Primordia. Srsly.

I can't stand the guy. His whole zomg!drama is soooo contrived, given the tech they have available. Seriously. He's made the tree. He has all the information he needs to easliy craft a replacement, given the current tech level (see: restaurant). It's like if someone held my subway pass hostage -- sure, it costs money, but I'm just going to buy another one instead of doing the bidding of people who know for a fact they can't ensure my collaboration by asking nicely.

I liked both ladies until the end, when Max turned out to be a treacherous ass (either way). I don't like that Latha was robbed out of her epic destiny, but it's not her fault.

..It's even [wrongly] taglined "A Cyberpunk Adventure"!
(Okay, I'll shut up about it now.)

Out of the two Wadget Eye games on the list,

Technobabylon has a strictly better setting and actually thematically relevant puzzles (and it's more technically accomplished, although Janet may have brushed up Gemini Rue since the last time I played it). The tone, however, is all over the place (reminds me of Beneath a Steel Sky), and the ending is flat.

Gemini Rue on the other hand could be set literally anywhere and has a retrofuturist flavor (as opposed to modern cyberpunk), but has better characters, a coherent tone, and a properly dramatic ending (with a helping of Calvinist morality, ew).

I am sorry but it's just, to me, the actress did too good of a job playing a needy addict and hearing Latha whine over and over and over about not being hooked up to the net just drove me batguano insane. The whining just literally drilled itself into my ears....oh gawd...

Happily found this today as well. This is awesome! Although I am OK with playing in English it is nice to see that games are continuously supported and maintained. Thank you.

P.S. Hope This War of Mine will get at least latest fixes. No need for modding tools, but bring us fixes and expansion please =)

You should thank Nordic for that, they did all the fixes on that update :)


As for This War of Mine, we're waiting for the latest version and we keep trying to get it ...

В Lords of Xulima при добавлении русского языка ещё и доп. материал русский добавили - карту мира, руководство, бестиарий и мифологию. Вот это я понимаю, уважение к покупателю :)

И сам перевод опять подправили. Только текстура со словом "опыт" в результатах боя не влазеет до сих пор.
