JudasIscariot: Speaking of Elminage Gothic, I am going to try and see if it works with WINE :)
If it does work, do you have any beginner's tips about this game? I mean this isn't my first dungeon crawl or anything but this is a new game to me :)
Elminage Gothic should work with Wine, as I talked with Linux users on this game and they didn't have any technical problems.
Beginner tips. Make sure you have at least 1 character who is Cleric, Bishop or Lord (Lord takes quite a time to roll). Make sure at least one character has "Song of Healing" skill. Make sure you have at least 1 Mage or Bishop (he is basically Cleric+Mage, but has smaller spell power).
If you will make bad party, you can always remove bad party members and make new ones. I am sure your first party will be bad, even I had to remake my party couple times, so don't be afraid to experiment, game will show you what works, what not. Talk with dungeon NPCs, they have interesting things to say on game mechanics.
Big red shadows are things to run away from really fast. They are Floor Masters, similar to FOEs in Etrian Odyssey. Some people try to fight them at first opportunity and then get upset at game's difficulty...
JudasIscariot: Can you tell me what you mean by this? Are you saying that the game doesn't support a specific resolution or am I misreadng?
Basically, you don't see full screen if you play with your monitor resolution like 4:3 (in example 1024x768, 1600x1200, etc.), as game was made around widescreen (1280x720 and such), and there is no option to choose "square" resolution.
