mrkgnao: I have 260 games. Will probably cross the 300 with the Christmas sale. The only game I am sure I will not buy at this point is Witcher 2, which is (even with the 40% reduction) still too expensive. I will have to wait until it becomes a real GOG (I don't buy games that cost more than $10).
So, complete GOG catalogue minus Witcher 2?

That's the ultimate goal, just not sure I'll get there this holiday season.

Ha ha, I know your pain.

I don't want my money get idle within Paypal, so I definitely spend it here. Can't wait. :D

On the plus side I don't buy games anywhere but GOG (and Humble Bundle)...
My backlog is so dang enormous the only thing I plan to pick up is Planescape: Torment. Knowing me, though, I'll probably buy loads of games I don't need and will never play :3
Let's see...

I have less than $4 in my bank account. Even if something came up for $2.99 I couldn't get it as my bank/VISA charges a $4.50 fee for non AUD transactions. Add that to the fact I am currently living and working in a country where it is more trouble than it is worth sending money home...

So no. Unfortunately I won't be spending up big this time around on the GoG sales :(
There's a lot of veterans here. I have like 12 games in my catalog - paid for five of them. But I have only played two of them... I intend to get more - but it's hard when you are without a proper income ;(

I'm with you, just add Indie Royal Bundle.
I'm actually trying to cut back a little. I have 61 games, but only played about 15 of them and only two to completion. i also have games on Steam and not the time to play so much stuff. Investing on games I don't have the time to play is not looking too sound to me and I'm purposefully holding myself back from buying on impulse (as in buying without thinking much about it, not buying on the gaming website called Impulse).

Don't know how well I'll fare this christmas. Something always catches my fancy.
Getting most of the 'short' length games this time on my wishlist in the coming sale.

I don't have a backlog (yuck) and spent most of gaming this year playing longish games, mainly RPG's. I need a break from them next year, so I'll be gunning for the platformers and shorter games.!

I feel your pain, man. I've been unemployed for a long time, myself, so things are very, very tight. Still, if you can decide on ONE game to "tide you over" for a while, I'll spring for it once the sale starts.

Of course, deciding on which game you want the most may be quite a challenge.... P

HereForTheBeer: Noooo friggin' idea. That 50%-off-nearly-everything sale is surely tempting, but then the backlog is just staring me in the face, asking, "If you can't play the games you already bought, then why get MORE?" To which I shrug and reply to the backlog, "I dunno."

And then buy more.

Having a tough time figuring out what to get that would go higher up the list than those backlogged games I already have. Probably end up getting between 2 and 5 new-old titles anyway.
Lmao, pretty much this. I just say "fuck it" and buy them anyway. GOG employees will totally sit down and have a beer with you, they deserve my money:)

There will most certainly be holiday giveaways by many forum members, I'd log in as much as possible over the holiday season.

Besides, GOG is already passing out one free game. It's not quite Age of Empires 2 but I had some fun playing it:)

I wish there was a central repository of contests and how to enter them so people could enter more of them more easily. :D

Also remember the car cheat in AoE 1? Cuz I sure do. I loved spamming those suckers around the map......good times.
I have money this year, Just a lack of time to play games

I will probably spend about 30-40$ though on games when the sale comes through. Pick me up Farenheit and about 4-5 others.

I said I would play Nomad Soul before I played that though...
