rasufelle: I don't tend to make a list of games to play, or what order to play them in -- I simply play games when I feel that particular title is appropriate for what I feel like playing. So, I guess you could say my "To Play" list includes every game I own.

So let's see if I can do this...

You know what? No. I have well over 125 video games in the house at this time. There's no way in hell I'm listing them all.

GameRager: That's 130, 132 is you count ep 1/2 of HL2 as seperate games, and that's not including the game groups you left undefined.
Counting each title from the multiple ones (each FF game, each Might and Magic, and so forth) it's like 164, plus the other stuff I got lyin' about I can't see the titles of from where I sit :P
That's a hell of a queue.
Lets see:
Finish for the first time:
The Longest Journey (I'll do it one of these days honest!)
Sanitarium
Beyond Good and Evil
Max Payne 2
Jolly Rover (it came in a bundle)
Machinarium (I really should boot this up)
Recettear
X3 (I really doubt I'll ever play this)
Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer (wanted to do OC and the expansion but the OC is just sooo boring)

Second playthrough:
Hordes of Chaos (Heretic WAD)
Baldur's Gate 2

Hm a lot less then I thought.

Aniketos: Dragon Quest VIII

orcishgamer: This was a really awesome game, you should put it in the front of your queue.
Oh don't worry! I am actually already playing that and enjoying it immensely. It's on my que solely because I had to pause playing it due to school. The graphics and music are phenomenal. I haven't gotten far into the story yet but it's enjoyable to to where I am so far.

I played IX when I got my DS, and it was immensely fun, save for the boring as hell grinding that plagues entirely too many RPGs. It also had one of the best traditionally animated sequences I've ever seen in a game.

Glad to meet a fellow DW/DQ junkie, almost all of them are very fun. LordKuruku can talk about all the oddball import versions I never played:)

I have 6, I hear it's better than IX, looking forward to playing it when I get a moment:)

True the grind can be tiresome but I found it's easy to get around once you can gauge how much movement you do before you get thrown into a fight. Also the creatures are always entertaining so I'm never bored with the grind. And I don't own a DS so I'm not able to play it :(

Actually DQ VIII is my first foray into DQ. I only discovered it while looking up a similar game that came out for the gameboy color/advance. Ended up buying and liking it a lot! Also, the guys who made DQVIII made Rogue Galaxy which is very fun and just as visually engaging as well. If you still have a PS2 and haven't played it I'm sure you can find it floating around in local Gamestops.

kittykat: Rogue Galaxy....gah. Great game, but it's an OCD addled player's worst nightmare with all the customization/upgrade options. Also the discs are easy to make unreadable.....one scratch, even a small one can ruin the game to where it won't load and if it does it'll load slow as hell.
You're right about that. There's a lot to do in that aspect of the game. And thanks for the heads up about the scratches, I generally take good care of my games but I'll watch out for it even more.
I won't do a list of ALL the games sitting on my shelf that I'm waiting to play, since that would take forever. However, as far as summer goes (in no particular order):

PS2:
-Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 (most excited about this one)
-Okami
-Kingdom Hearts

PC:
-Portal 2 (Co-op Campaign)
-Call of Duty: Black Ops
-Minecraft
-Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
-Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
-The Witcher
-Grand Theft Auto 1
-Crysis 2
-Planescape: Torment
-Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars
-Magicka: Vietnam (and all the challenge maps + DLC for the original)
-Mass Effect
-Baldur's Gate

360:
-Dead Space 2
-Perfect Dark
-Fable: The Lost Chapters (for original Xbox)

PS3:
-Valkyria Chronicles
-Modnation Racers
-Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
-Demon's Souls

Wii:
-Dead Space: Extraction
-New Super Mario Bros. Wii
-Kirby Epic Yarn
-Donkey Kong Country Returns
-The whole BIT.TRIP series
-Tales of Symphonia (technically for Gamecube but oh well)

DS:
-Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
-Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
-Professor Layton and the Unwound Future

PSP:
-Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
-Patapon

Of course, there's no WAY I'll get close to finishing everything in this list. And, still, there are certainly a few that I'm forgetting to put on here. But, these are most of the games that are at least "up for consideration"; when I finish one, I'll probably play another one from here, depending on my mood.

avatar
kittykat: Yeah, most PS2/etc CDs can get scratched to hell and play fine, while a select few get a bit of scratching and go awol on ya.
Man that blows. I've been keeping an eye out for some good adventure/RPG/action games for the PS2 like ICO and maybe Dark Cloud or possibly the Sly Cooper series. I got the PS2 essentially when the 360 came out so I missed out on a lot and have been trying to build a respectable library.

kittykat: Yeah......also btw, if you have a Game Craze nearby(not Game CRAZY) they usually are pretty reasonably priced and keep their discs in good shape.
Are you talking about the stores in New York?
Take a look at the attachment.
See all those games?
That's my queue.
Ordered by whatever the hell I feel like playing at the time.
On top of that, I have several games on PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, SNES, Gamecube, Gameboy, and DS to finish.

There's no way in hell I'm going to get through all of this anytime soon.

Man, I want to play Anachronox something bad.
Actually, now that I look at my list a bit closer, there are quite a few games I could remove due to already having beaten them or the games being multiplayer only.

It's not that bad, really.
I think.
